Talk about 'signals'. Sometime back in the '90s I was invited to Enron's London HQ to discuss 'a project'. Looking around, I thought to myself: Gosh, these guys must be ready to take over the world. And then, a few months later, the receivers were holding a 'fire sale' at the very same premises. I probably should have bought something - just for the hell of it. :)

Back in the mid-1980s when I was wheeling and dealing property like Trump (just on a much, much smaller scale) and the savings and loan industry began collapsing under all the over-leveraged loans they had out and the internal theft by the board members, I remember the standard line quickly became:

What's the safest way to rob a bank? Own one!

There's a pain (still) in the guts of millions of Bank Customers for that.

That's why they give you a toaster when you open an account... Can be made, quick, easy, & relatively-cheaply so you think the pain is just b/c you're full.

EDIT: Oh, & lest I forget, that pitiful "Bank Job" flick (perhaps Statham's worst ever) is far worse than the Barenaked Ladies song of the same name, or the similarly-storied "The One" by Old 97s.

Banks, Bushes, Buffoons, etc... It's all a bunch of Bs/SOBs.

I've used the term "SOBs" as the tag for "Sons of Bosses" ...the ones that take over a company Daddy has busted his ass to build and the clueless offspring tend to fuck it up beyond belief.

The Walton kids always come to mind first.

Walton kids? Weren't they the ones who kept saying 'Good night' to one another? ;)

And thirty-three years after it first aired, it's still the most watched television episode of all time.

.

I assume that includes both the people who watched it the first time and all those who watched it on the numerous re-runs?

Hulu? (More like "Who? Lou?" I thought of him watching TV when someone on a current show in the past week made a reference to someone having "spunk".)

My YouTube recommendations confirm where I am in life. And here I was trying to conceal the fact that I am no longer of an age where I have to consider 'What next?' Gravity is well and truly in charge. The door is that way. :)

The stronger gravity is, the faster time seems to move. I wonder if black holes and worm holes are related.
