It's not like I am raging all the time, either. I'm pretty laid back, but when they come in the door, my eyes involuntarily roll into the back of my head, and 1/2 my brain shuts down and goes into self preservation mode to protect itself from the onslaught of stupid that inevitably follows. That's all, lol.

ICT if I am alone in my basement and my shadow crosses the wall, I will probably jump, thinking there is someone down there with me waiting to cut my throat.

IACT I try, I really really try, not to leave people hanging on pms, but sometimes I don't pay attention and one or ten slip through the cracks unanswered.

Don't think of it as being degrading. Think of it as being similar to your parents getting you ready for the real world...everyone takes a little hazing as the new guy, take it in stride, learn what caused you to be a target, then grow from it. Believe it or not, Lit is a pretty tight community and people just want to test you a little before you are welcomed into the fold.

As an added note, you should read the Advice for a New Litsters board...it's somewhat helpful.
 
ICT that with all the alts, trolls, men who pose as women and people who leave quickly, that I often wait 6 to 12 months to talk to new people.
 
ICT I'm already over the whole stress of moving.
IACT Moving day is still 3 weeks away.
IFCT Moving sucks. No doubt about it.
