The "D" in Democrat stands for delusional.

Maybe one day medical science will discover a way to repair the short circuit in their brain.

Now he's hinting about federalizing the police.

Just think: 600,000 new federal employees! I wonder what color their shirts will be?

As is Hillary.

Forget about the employee issue. Do you really want your state and local police under the thumb of an unelected, unaccountable, bureaucrat that lives in Wash. DC? I'd love to hear the comments from those that think that's a good idea.

The New Gestapo.

Who said liberalism is nothing like fascism?

They'll all be out front and in your grill.

I thought you liked Wat's dunce caps

Puke Luke, don't you just make yourself sick sometimes?

Come on, man. Admit it. Nobody - not even you - is immune to the stench of your putrid personality.

Even Throb admitted it happens to him.

It's only you and a couple other ignorant twats who think that of me.
I'm okay with that ratio :)

Is there an intelligent reason not to have a federalized police force?

But yes the country is very divided and always has been.

Just here to increase the collective IQ to double-digits.

Carry on, old-white-guys.

Your IQ raising the collective IQ of any room you walk into signifigantly is highly doubtful. Because math.

Yours is just to the right of the very apex of the bell curve of distribution. The vast majority are within 10 points of yours.

The problem with IQ is not that there is bias or cultural factors not accounted for, it is that humans by and large, aside from a small number of outliers are overwhelmingly average.

The reason that the average male overestimates his IQ by 25 points and the average female overestimates her IQ by 15 points is people do not understand the scale.

Like you, most people know someone that is 5 -10 points lower in IQ so you feel smart because you're smarter than someone you know.

To get into Mensa, you merely need to be in the top 4%. That means the guy that was the smartest guy in his classroom of 25. Bear in mind, that there are thousands upon thousands of classrooms of 25 through-ouy the country.

Mensa-grade intelligence is not rare, and despite your delusions, you are not Mensa material. You know, and I know, that you were never the brightest student in any classroom you attended, else you would not be as obsessed with calling others "dummy."

It's a yuuuge tell, dummy.

. . . Now cue Luke sniffing about how he has no idea why I "decided to troll him today" because I responded to his obviously trolling post.

It's only trolling when you pick on Luke or Hashtag.

A "federalized police force" fits very nicely into Wingnut Nation's "but...but...Teh GESTAPO" conspiracy theories.

I'm all in favor of federal standards for cops, but even that seems to have the Wingnuts engaging in a giant collective pants-shitting exercise.

Yes. Because power tends to corrupt; absolute power corrupts, absolutely.

This country started without an income tax and without a revenue agency and without prohibition. Once we had all of those things in place we had the ability to have a federal law enforcement presenve, which led to what most realize is a failed social experiment called the war on drugs. None of that would have been remotely possible without federal presence.

Nearly every federal agency now has a SWAT team. every Federal agency seems to have a budget for a large quantity of ammunition. This does not bode well for kinder, gentler enforcement of law.

Reasonable people could have concerns about the abuses that can and certainly do happen in any given jurisdiction. Some back water that chooses to abuse there citizens under the color of law.

The less than satisfying answer to that is that citizens can vote for their local sheriff and in addition can vote with their feet if their fellow citizens put in place laws and enforcement that they do not wish to live under the tyranny of.

No, people should not have to move to avoid tyranny but people will naturally gravitate towards areas that have both freedom and neighbors that they wish to live in peaceful harmony with. Nobody likes strife and conflict in their baseline life experiemce.

These things find equilibrium. And that point of equilibrium is going to vary depending on the temperament and desires of the citizens of a particular area. We are supposed to have little mini republics AZ little flourishing experiments in what sort of government works. The places that work best attract the best.

So much is misconstrued about the founding of this country both from the left and the right. For example gun control in the old west it was typical that in various towns you have law enforcement that was armed and everybody else gave up their guns it when they enter town. You didn't wander around armed in town and everybody knew what you were or were not armed.

The federal government cannot prevent you keeping and bearing arms but your neighbors can if you all agree to it. if you don't like your neighbor's gun control policies then you move to someplace where you're allowed to walk around strapped.

There are no government programs on any social issues that have been put into place on the national level that can be shown to have objevtively improved upon the problem they set out to fix. the answer always is well we just haven't given enough time and money some more time and money and it'll fix it for sure.

Government that is local is more responsive to Citizens and more able to adapt and change as needed by the citizenry.

#Ascription,AsPerAlways

More ascription?

This can't be for real;

That shit could have been right out of an 1840's treatise on why Negroes should be slaves. They need them white folk to think for them and take care of them. And of course, DC is going to think for everyone.

And then this;

Really? We need a federally administered police force run from DC? What should we call it? The Gestapo or GRU?

Hillary speaks

She doesn't want to be president, she wants to be a dictator.
