j/k, sorry to hear you're miserable

not knowing makes this kind of stuff harder. sorry to hear you're going through it. :rose:

Is it a break up, a deployment or a death?

It kind of depends for what you do.

If it is a break-up the I suggest the following for starters:
1) Keep busy. Do all those things you have been putting off. Make a list, choose one
2) Make a list of your friends, then make a date to see each one of them individually to do something, rotate through them repeatedly for awhile. Use that time as a break from feeling horrible/lost. It's kind of a fake until you make it thing.
3) Get a blank book, keep it with you and write down any reoccurring thoughts, the front part for the good things, flip it over and use the back part for the bad. This way you have record and don't need to keep thinking them. If you feel you need to write him something, write it somewhere in the middle, then sleep on it for a few days.
4) Strip your house of their stuff. Don't do anything to dispose of it right away, but box it up and put it out of the way where you won't see it or think about it.
5) If you need a new mattress anyway, now is the time to get one. Also new sheets and bedclothes will help.
6) walk everyday for 45 mins, somewhere beautiful if you can.
