I doubt North American gyros are lamb. Then ones I have tried don't taste like lamb. More like hotdogs. Lips and assholes.

i do, but i hate myself for it. you know, killing cute babies and all. not a big fan, generally.

I love them. Thankfully you can find good ones up here, not as good as Greek Twon in Chicago, but they'll work.

We have some great lamb in my neighborhood, locally raised and readily available. The restaurants do amazing things with it.

As for gyros, I can take 'em or leave 'em. Give me a nice rack any day.

I like lamb, I actually eat a lot of lamb.
Gyros occasionally, more usually leg of lamb roast or lamb shanks. I buy at Costco.
I had a Morrocan lamb brat today from Kramarczuk's which was very good.

I've enjoyed some gyros with lamb that were absolutely delicious, and others that were just falafel.

I've tried lamb only twice, both times at a great Mediterranean place that I love. I didn't care for the lamb.
