They show a max score considering what skills the gymnast has in their routine, then they show the deductions taken when they falter and then also show the end result score.

Edit: the gymnasts don't start with the same max score, so it really fluctuates according to the skills they can master.

It's so funny how people take their hot dogs and burgers. A good kaiser roll, raw onion, tomato, dill pickles suits me fine. Condiments are either mustard and ketchup or mayo depending on my mood. Adding cheese is no hardship either.

No, I don't think so. They are scored on how well they can do their skill, and not everyone can master the same skills. So some have advantages in certain areas because a certain skill gives higher point value.

I saw the same scoring in diving last night also.

How does the new system work?

The new system has your routine get a start score with combinations etc... best in the world can have a start of 6.5, then when the routine starts, if you complete all yur elements perfectly, thats out of 10.

Its more annoying but it means a person with less difficult skills that do it flawlessly have a chance.

The start score is the handicap (or advantage) depending how you see it.
