I will be a little quieter the next few days as the wifi here is blocking this site for SOME reason. :: whistles innocently :: On Monday and Tuesday I'm going to take what time I can to write up the various prompts for the different locations in the Event so I can post them relatively simultaneously.

Take this time to wrap up whatever else you want to do before the kickoff, but of course if you don't finish you can do flashbacks.

OK if I get OK'ed with Beast Boy, what is the idea? How much of the IC should I read to get a kinda drift of where we are at or is there some sort of manual which will give me kind of an idea what is going on?

So I have been thinking about what to start with while I taught little children about how to be a Voortrekker (basically Scout, just for Afrikaans speaking people lol) and I have come to a conclusion.

Garfield is 25. That would make him illegible for a second or third year student after getting acquitted for the ebil deeds he did. Of course Zoology should be easy for him and the easiest way to go to a university of such would be to have some sort of disguise since he is green in the skin.

Why do I want him to be at a student based place?

If one of the sleepers get awakened that would actually put him on spot to act and that is what I want, to jump right into the action. But for tonight and most of tomorrow I will be running through the IC to get a feel for the story (wish I could actually download the IC to my tablet)

Thoughts? Critique? Ideas?

The time is early 2016. The world is Earth-1 in a 52ish-Earth Multiverse.

The Justice League has been around for close to twenty years at this point. Long enough that their next-generation sidekicks and partners and successors are themselves in their early-to-mid-twenties-- The Teen Titans are no longer Teens, but work hard to mentor up-and-coming young heroes to their own mentors' standards.

About a month ago in-game time, The Justice League disappeared. All of them, just gone. (The Flash was sighted briefly a few weeks ago, but was gone just as quickly.)

The bad guys know they're gone and they're whooping it up, and the remaining superhero community and law enforcement are running themselves ragged trying to make up for that absence. Some of the legacy heroes, like Kaldur'ahm, Aqualad, have taken the names of their missing mentors to step into their breach-- Kaldur is now Aquaman. Others are still desperately searching for their missing elders-and-betters, to little avail.

Lex Luthor is the frontrunner for President, and has basically privatized law enforcement in Metropolis so that he can enhance it with LuthorCorp tech and business practices. Oddly enough, it's working quite well.

Until: in the wee hours of January 18, an amnesiac, black-skinned Kryptonian dropped naked from the sky and started wreaking havoc in a panic and a fury. Metropolis was quickly at a horrified standstill.

But then a ragtag group of super-people showed up. Aquaman, a female Ghost Rider, neophyte superspeedster Silver Bullet, a Martian Manhuntress still feeling her way through her developing powers, a Wonder Girl from Krypton who had crashlanded on Themyscira years ago to be trained by Amazons, Damian "Nightwing" Wayne... and together, against all odds, they managed to stop this runaway Kryptonian without hurting him too terribly badly and without anyone getting killed.

That Kryptonian is now under observation in a containment cell in Stryker's Island Penitentiary, awaiting psychic therapy to repair his shattered psyche and restore his memories.

But Lex Luthor took one look at that group in action and saw public relations magic.

A week later, January 25, he brought that team back together at a newly-minted high-tech police station in Metropolis that he'd repurposed to be the headquarters of a New Justice League. After some hemming and hawing and debate and drama, the team has opted to take Lex up on his offer with Aquaman as official chairman and leader.

We're about to skip ahead to February 1, another week, though some characters are already there waiting for us to arrive.

And the shit's about to jump off-- hopefully in the process bringing in the next wave of The New Justice League.

We have at least two academic locations that are going to be hit in the Event.

Berkeley in San Francisco, and The Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge/Boston. Three, if you count Central Kansas A&M near Topeka and Smallville.

So another one would not be out of the question, it would just have to be located in the metropolitan area of a major North American city.

He could have a holographic "Image Inducer" watch like Nightcrawler would sometimes use.
