elle's right, pinkie :)

take your time and decide what it is you'd like from your new life.
when you're sure, look again at where you live to see if it cannot offer you the same.

if you are certain it can't, then is the time to start looking at other places to see if they can.

good luck!

edit: well scratch all that, lol, you pretty much know already. so BEST of Luck, girl :rose:

I will, I promise. I'd have to wait anyway until we sell mom's house and give me time to sell mine too.

I know Washington State would not be like it was before, you are correct. I lost one of my closest friends to cancer, she would not be there anymore. I would have to find brand new friends.

The thing I would know too is I would have wonderful rivers, mountains and ocean close by.

I'm sorry this topic is more than a blurt, everyone. I apologize.

the knives are old and dulled
and the cupboards are filled
with
nearly untouched bits cast off from
others who have moved on
and away

there is little left then to nourish
and the ugly little cuts at what remains
are halfheartedly incomplete
and lazy.

margaret hoped to find something in the kitchen
that would inspire her
to do anything else
but...

even her search now was lazy and dull.

the tins and boxes of discarded hopes
offered little inspiration;
having been parsed time and again
by the various passers through
and left virtually undisturbed
except for some thumb-wear on their labels and faces...

the few knives,
curiously well ordered in a drawer,
would barely scar butter;
were there butter to scar...

margaret wandered and wondered
and tired
and then sat

perhaps today something
would pass through
offering anything within easy reach
that would nourish her enough
to (at least)
look through what was left here again...

what part of TN, pink? how did you like it?

Oh my goodness, I think it was the northern part if I'm remembering correctly. This was shortly before I got pregnant with my daughter and she's 23 now.

Tennessee is gorgeous, so many hills and green everywhere. Kentucky is pretty too. Ohio is so flat but it is very green too. That is what I like about Ohio, I love trees.

Have you ever been to the U.S, butters?

There is another cat tucked in the other side too. ( other dog is staring at the pouring rain)
there's something so wistful, knowing, and beautiful about a sighthound's expression :rose:

i can't wait - i'm a country girl and rolling hills, green expanses, woodland and big skies sing to my heart.

never been abroad at all, nor on a flight! furthest i've been is scotland once and wales once - so, as you can imagine, moving to TN is a pretty BIG move for me :D

beware of culture shock

going from the south to NJ was not easy at all

i'm sure my eyes will be like saucers at times :D especially at the guns

but i've found in all my years my greatest strength is adaptability.

You're gonna be dangerously close to Alabama.
You need to drag Harry's ass a hundred miles north.

You're such a dumbass.
I'm not going to post there, yet it's somehow entertaining to watch you and your stupid alt trying so hard

I agree with culture shock. I am still in a bit a shock from my move, from Boston to Quebec. It is another world up here.

It will be a big adventure for you!

Ohio had the most expensive gas and the best roads during my recent voyage across the country.
