No, they don't love people who don't agree with 100% of their bullshit.
They are intellectual bigots of the highest order, they will not stand for thoughts that step outside 'teh narrative' they have laid out as the socially acceptable one.
Except Islam...they can bet the fucking dog shit out of women, fuck kids, burn people alive and liberals will ignore/excuse it away ALL FUCKING DAY! Total fucking denial.

Many libs. are common-sense folks, but others act just plain silly.
Like Lovecraft so astutely noticed, their attitude is often so patronising towards minorities, on top of being non-discerning. They often treat minorities like they're kids with limitted intellectual capacity, who need white-knighteing on a porn board.
I find that my (and others') attitudes to be more genuine than theirs.
For example: the more discerning individual often engages in a critical appraisal of Islam (particularly the misogynistic and homophobic elements) as well as Christianity, while judging the everyday Muslim or Christian on a 1:1 basis.
When it comes to the bones of it, I'm certain that I'm less of a racist than many of the kumbaya - chanting GB "libs." By far.

As usual, whenever a conservative brings these things up they "conveniently" forget that at the time the Democrats were the conservative party. Just look at electoral maps of the "solid South" now vs then and you will see the ideological shift in the parties. What is now Deep red country was once blue and vice versa.

this is also, incidentally, why I laugh every time someone refers to the Republicans as "The Party of Lincoln", because Lincoln would not only not even recognize today's Republican party as the same group, he'd probably kick your teeth in for suggesting that he'd be a part of it.

The south was very democrat up to and during the civil war, the north was republican. Neither side was conservative or liberal.
The biggest issue of the day was states rights Vs Federal power.
The south (Democrats) wanted a weak fedeeral government and strong state govenrments with each state deciding on their own if they were a slave or free state.
Abraham Lincoln would not admit any new state unless it agreed to be a free state, but he was not going to force the existing slave states to change.
This was unacceptable to southerners and they fired on federal troops starting the Civil War.
Fast FOrward to 1865. No Confederate was allowed to hold any public office from sherriff to Govenor. With so few southern men eligible to hold office, may northern republicans (known as carpetbaggers) moved south and began to hold various offices for mer confederates couldn't. That was how the formerly Democratic South became Republican.
The North Became Democrat as poor people flooded the cities and started being given money and food and other handouts from the Democrats.
The Parties ideologies slowly evolved over the years.

Obama says "It's all Bushes fault" The only president to blame his predecessor for everything that went wrong.
After World War Two Everyone wanted "Ike" to run for president. he didn't want the job. Both Republican and Democrat leaders begged him to run under their parties banner. He choose Republican.
Today Democrats call those who serve in the military cowards and leave them to die. Obama traded three terrorists for one deserter.
In the 60's Kennedy said "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country" He was pro life, pro gun and pro God.
Today Democrats love their Obama Phone (Not to mention the fact the Lifeline Program was started in 1984 by Ronald Reagan after a Dept of Labor study found a lot of welfare recipients didn't have telephones, so they were unable to get calls from potential employers for interviews. It was expanded to include Cell phones under George Bush Sr.)
Even Jimmy Carter was a church going pro gun democrat.
So what happened between 1976 and today?
Now Democrats boo God while claiming to be inclusive, then attack people who disagree with them
call conservatives war mongers while over 600,000 American soldiers died under Democrat presidents compared to 40,000 under Republicans
Call Conservatives racist forgetting their history and that Republicans were on the KKK hit list for their support of Blacks, forgetting that Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican
Blame the NRA, GOP, and Christians for mass shootings when the shooter is not a member of any of those groups, and is in fact a registered democrat.
Continue to demand we ban guns based on your name being on a secret list, even when the ACLU say this is a bad idea.
Demand to ban certain guns because they have features that are strictly cosmetic like a folding or adjustable stock. Something the NY times says has no effect on crime.
Demand we ban guns despite teh fact the FBI shows violent criems have been steadily decrasing for over 30 years, even as gun ownership increses.
Accuse conservatives of being violent yet there has never a Pro life, or pro gun, pro Trump, or any other conservative rally that required fire hoses or tear gas.
I could go on but I believe I made my point. The parites didn't "switch" The democrats changed while the Republicans remained true to their core beliefs of small government, low taxes, personal freedom, and personal responsibility.

BTW Under the constitution only Congress can declare war. Hillary, Bernie and Obama all voted for these wars.
Obama expanded both or them. We now have more troops in Afghanistan than we did Under Bush.
Oh and Isis is a direct result of Obama not listening to his generals and pulling troops out before teh region was stabilized.
Not to mention he keeps releasing enemy combatants back to the battlefield, instead of keeping them in prison.
