Aussies! Check in here!

I wonder what causes that. Run off of chemicals into the pond?
Walking through the riverside gardens here the other day, late in the afternoon because it's too hot before then, it was wonderful to hear the frogs croaking in the lotus ponds...and watching the pairs of birds flying at jet speed through the stems. How they missed them I don't know.

Weird, a city not too far away (Chongqing) is copping really heavy rain, almost flooding parts of the city.

it's a swimming pool. they don't enjoy chlorine! the big old toads in the garden seem to be wiser, or at least better informed.

due to thunder here later. which usually means the 'leccy goes off.

silly buggers then..the chlorine would take their skin off.
Maybe a salt water pool would be better instead of the chlorine.
You don't ever get snakes in the pool?

lol..yeah .. usually the water goes off during heavy rain here...go figure that one out.

it does take their skin off. their like translucent froggy balloons after a night in the pool. not had snakes in there yet, but it's only been 3 weeks so far. i'm only house-sitting here (that's what i do a lot of the time - house-sit).

the pumps are prolly set too low. there's myriad reasons why the water goes off when it floods. back-fill (i can't think of the correct technical expression at the moment) can cause drama. if it's an old system there's gonna be issues. if it's a modern system, blame the designers!

yeah..the pumps take the water to the top of the apartment block and it gravity feeds down. No problems here; the systems are pretty new. But in the college I was in last year, it happened regularly that the pumps broke down.

house- sitting sounds interesting. in Thailand?

northern ireland isn't part of ireland. well, it is, but... it's complicated and [potentially] very emotive.people have died!

they coulda given you the call, eh? jeez. ;)

Our old friend CI is from there, so, I got my history lessons from her. LOL!

Yup, they coulda called. I might have made that team. :D

So... I've just checked the weather for Friday nights date..... And it's going to be fucking cold!
There goes the sexy dress showing my calves in killer heels idea! (And the heels are soooo sexy, they'd have made him want to lick up my legs!)
Dammit :(

Stoke up the heater, and have datenight in?

I've been busy preparing to move back to Southern California! No more snow in the winter, yay! Just one more hurdle to leap over, and it should be done! Hopefully, I won't fall flat on my face, or my backside! :D

All the best for that - and if you should fall, I'll be happy to kiss or rub it better!

It's winter time for you! I wish I could send you some of our heat wave!

BUT - you can do this anyway! Wear a snuggly, plush coat over the LBD, then take it off at the perfect moment in the warm restaurant! You'll know when to reveal your assets!

Good for you, to have sexy heels...let the leg licking begin! I can't wear those.

You go, girl!

It's ok! Saved!
Found a pair of leatherette skinny jeans with a flitry little zip up the calf ;)
They'll do nicely.

Golly it's difficult to find this thread. Now that im here I feel like Flinders finding Bass straight.

In Hobart for a couple of days. Melb was positively tropical.

Eddie. Here we go again, again and again. He is the fuel for the ugly side of AFL.

You might consider subscribing to the thread. Then you'll never lose it. (see Thread Tools above right...)

Lol Spectre - I'm in Darwin for a couple of days. At 33C, it IS tropical, even compared to Melbourne :)

As for Eddie - surely to all thats holy he'll work out he's embarrassed himself as well as all around him, and step away from it all.

Does anyone watch the State of Origin games? I played and coached Union myself, but came to appreciate League. Queensland seems to own that trophy.

I spent a few hours messaging back and forth with my date last night...
And OMG - his way with words had me literally panting and trembling!
This has all been sooooo incredibly fun and hot

Has been a LOT of years since I felt this level of anticipation!
Tonight is going to be awesome if his words are anything to go by.... :D

And to think...... I almost didn't agree to even meet him at first....

Easiest way to find the thread again is just subscribe as has already been suggested. When you do, it will appear in your UserCP, click on 'List Subscriptions' if no posts are visible in the UserCP screen. That's the fastest way I find the thread, may be a smarter way but that way works.

Hey Robed,

Yep anywhere north of the Vic border would seem tropical on a day like today. The only place colder than Melbourne town today is Tassie, at least it didn't get below zero last night. A brisk top of 10 today and kinda feels like it even though I'm inside.

As for Eddie well the only reason he apologized was because he was called out on it a week later however none of the guys around him said it was wrong on air there were also producers listening to the comments and they didn't speak out. Eddie thinks he is untouchable so it won't hit home till he loses support and friends. It took that press conference by the AFL before people said anything which speaks volumes about the current culture towards women in sport or in the media. That needs to change and soon.

Frankly rugby leaves me cold and rather bored. Have tried over the years to watch it with friends from Sydney but just can't get interested. However I liked the Sevens when I saw it on TV at I think the Comm Games. Given State of Origin only involves two states in the country its kinda reached its limits as to a supporter base.

Hey WQ,

Sounds like you're into this guy which is good. As for the outfit for the night well from a guys perspective something that shows off your assets but not too revealing. A tease is always good. Given the weather, may be a nice figure hugging jumper and boots and a scarf you don't mind losing. Gives him a reason to contact you sooner if you like him. If it doesn't work out take the scarf back home after the date.

What ever happens good luck and I hope it works out

Well they are calling it. England is out of the EU to the total shock of everyone. I saw the early polling results in the morning and all the commentators were surprised the Leave vote was so high so early. And the financial markets have reacted with the Pound and Aussie dollar down at the news. The next two years in the UK will be interesting to watch. Looks like Cameron may need to leave as well. A day in history for sure.

As for those in the southern states i.e Vic and Tas already know, it is very cold and wet today. Just had blast of cold wind and heavy rain come thru my area. Coldest day we have had this Winter. Definitely a day for staying in and put off going out if you can. So nice to not have to go to work.

Think tonight is a good night to make a curry or some nice comfort food.

Only another week of this politics crap. Waiting to get those political phone calls like we did at the last election. There should be a fuck off button on the phone. Now there is something that should be in an app.
