Kik, Skype, yahoo vs snapchat?

So why does no one use snapchat? I notice it's all Kik, especially skype and (for some odd reason) yahoo (that still exists???) so why not snapchat? Can anyone explain that to me!

snapchat - i dont use it much

yahoo as an app will no longer exist after august

i tend to forget to go into instagram

i prefer tumblr and skype. its on 24/7 and easy to use

I signed up for Skype over a year ago, & usually take a week to recall how to Login now.

I have Skype, Kik and Google Hangouts. I use Kik the most but I don't like that it doesn't show who is online at the moment. Skype good but quiet on my phone and I miss the alerts. I haven't tried the Hangouts yet.

In case anyone is here -- just found that apparently skype can establish link for group chat - I will be here a bit to see if this works.

Good questions... as I have similar questions. Though it looks like there isn't much of answers. I had used yahoo chat long ago. Tried Kik briefly. I guess its whatever the "latest and greatest" craze is..??
