As if she knew I was writing of her here last night, girl dog has had to go into the vet to day for some intravenous support .

Hopefully she can come home tonight. I had my clinic too, so she had to go in without me. G said she was ok but miserable without me, the vet they saw is actually our cat vet there but knows her ( they all know her ) and is a great vet and somewhat a friend.

Not sure about you, but, anything bruises me. At any time I can have a bunch of small bruises and have no clue where they came from.

I don't bruise easily actually, he was just super forceful last night and it was hot as hell that I didn't say anything. But now, wearing a sundress, they're pretty obvious.

Sunday was the product of the serendipitous conjunction of a bunch of favorable factors, including (but not limited to) age, air temperature, humidity, a "rabbit" to chase and a bear that had to be outrun.

on another note: today, going into a part of london i've not been before (for the youngest's health related stuff), i went past an intriguing building. it was only possible to catch lots of fascinating glimpses of what had to be a listed building in Lambeth High Street since it was nearly covered in the scaffolding being erected around it. what i could see was very ornate and very very dirty. knowing lambeth was the home of some amazing building (such as lambeth palace) from back in the day, i made a note of the address and looked it up. not half as old as i'd thought, being built in 1876, but still fascinating - it was Southbank House, the museum and art school of doulton pottery.

the link shows it clean and sans scaffolding (and, to fair, although it is extremely ornate it looked better all gnarly... i'd wondered if it had been built around the late 16-1700s. scroll down for some of the ornate tiling work on the walls though those pictures don't nearly do justice to what it looks like irl.
