I drove a taxi for 3 days. I drove a garbage truck for one day. I worked at WALMART 2 months. I worked at a convenience store 18 months. The taxi job sucked but I'll pretty much do any job that's legal. Its how I was raised, any port in a storm.

What wont you do? Whats beneath you?

Anything that involves going into confined spaces underground.

I'm the wrong build and no longer flexible enough.

However, in my 20s I was part of a cave rescue team. I was the heavy hauler and winchman on the surface.

Amen Brother Ogg, in my 20s I did all kinds of crazy dangerous work I wouldn't do today. Most of it was high above the ground, it scared my wife to watch me.

Nothing. Honest work is honest work.

I've pumped gas, hauled fish, moved pianos, investigated welfare fraud, worked a hotel front desk, written ad copy, and managed a corporate ad agency. But I wouldn't be a preacher or a pol.

fuck-all. i've driven the garbage truck, too. probably the worst job i ever did was clean hotel rooms. people are pigs. those girls - 'cause they're usually women - deserve a medal and a pay-rise.

Toughest job I had and would never go back to was welding at Quonset point. Because I was very thin back then I would have to get into crawl spaces and weld in there. The heat was insane and it was a lot easier to get burned because there was no room.

Sometimes I was welding on my back with the sparks just coming straight down on me and I swear every damn one of them found a way to get around the apron.

I've had every desk job imaginable, from coffee fetcher and envelope licker to CEO. Manual labor has been in farming and fishing. And as a roadie, but I didn't get paid, sp that doesn't count.

I've gutted cod for a living, so I wouldn't say anything is beneath me, per se. But there are some things I would be really bad at.

For instance: Work in a daycare. I get on well with kids, but I have immense admiration for anyone who can handle more than two of the little critters at the same time.
