Way to teach, Teach!! (Fucking dumbass)

This is why I heartily embrace the Second Amendment and the Wingnut mantra of "MOAR GUNS".

....a quick thinning of the herd with virtually no cost to the government.

Darwinism at its finest.

I can envision this class. Teach holds a target up in front of his face and says, 'this is what you shoot at'.

Accidents happen with tools people...Sometimes fatally.

(Why do I sound Like a shop teacher in my head?)

Actually, I almost was killed three times in metal shop...Not my doing I should add!

Stupid person with a gun kills someone: one-off accidents happen. No big deal.

Person with a gun who stops a crime: OMG HUGE DEAL!!! POST IT EVERYWHERE! This applies to all gun owners! This will save society!

STFU, gun nuts. ;)

*Picturing FGB having rotary saw fights with classmates when teacher steps out...* :D

Have we seen a post yet about a gun owner thwarting a crime? It's a possibility but I'm beginning to think that is part of the pro-gun mythology. And if a gun saves one life and another takes 50 or 10,000 hardly balances out.

I've seen a few articles. There may be some posted here.

Something about stopping robberies in liquor stores or some such.

YouTube/news clips/other funny clip sites usually shows a baseball bat as the weapon of choice of store owners.

Do store owners train their employees to resist robbers or just step back and let them rifle through the cash box? Hardly worth dying over 100$ and a few packs of smokes.

Oh, metal shop was a Hoot...

A huge chuck key from a WWI lathe from fifty foot or more missed my head by about three foot as it buried itself in the Cinder Block and tile covered wall.

Then this fool blew up the blast furnace. Turned on the gas waited a few seconds

Turned on the air and about three seconds later pushed the ignition button.

Why no one was killed...I don't know.

Some months later the same idiot didn't put the cap on a oxygen bottle. He knocked it over and the valve broke off. Went through a double brick wall, across the alley and through another double brick wall into the Boys Gym...Spun around a few times Glanced off a couple more wallslbefore running out of gas for real!

Yeah...he did not pass the Metal shop class...

Pressurized cylinders can be such fun.

I owned a small one story rental home once, the tenant had a fire in the garage which ignited/ruptured a full propane tank attached to a grill. The tank went off like a missile through two load bearing walls, causing the entire roof of the house to cave in.

Insurance adjuster said he'd never seen anything like that.

In sheet metal/welding class back in high school the teacher would not allow anyone near rear of class when he sent someone in to change cylinders. Very unnerving to the one changing out cylinders.

I followed this up with a search to Google News of "gun shop". It's way down the page, with so much other gun shop news this week.

Dozens of guns were stolen from Jeffco Gun Shop near Littleton CO.

There has been a rash of gun store burglaries in northeastern Pennsylvania.

John Cramsey, a gun shop owner, and two accomplices, have been arrested with a truckload of guns at the Holland Tunnel.

As for James Baker, the guy in the OP, it turns out that he wasn't even in the same room as the discharged weapon.

Did you see the truck? Somewhere between Scooby Doo and Ghostbusters.

Yeah, fancy paintjob, fancy lights, fancy suspension, fancy cooler caddy on the front bumper, and a cracked windshield. Bet he's regretting not fixing that now.
