Where???

I had a surprise phone interview with a company out of TN that renovates affordable housing apartments. Guess who's bee renovating affordable apartments in some form or fashion for the last 8 years???? The HR recruiter loved me. She told me that my resume was the best sh'es seen, that she knew exactly what I've been doing for years. I'm glad she knows - I may have forgotten. She called back this afternoon - the PM will call me tomorrow afternoon for round one there. And I have another interview on the 25th in addition to the one I have Saturday morning.

I must not have asked for too much money this morning. I hope that I didn't leave any on the table.

That's a relief!

I hope there won't be a next time. Me and the Mrs. have a mutual full disclosure policy. Any time there's a blackout, sudden acute pain, or we get symptoms of something that put us in the ER/hospital before, we confess. We would rather be concerned/stressed, but able to inform the doctors or paramedics than blindsided and clueless.

And I'll point out that this policy came about after we were in the ER and one of us announced to the nurse that we "thought" we might have such and such and the other of us dropped our jaw and said "WTH? How would I have know that to tell them if you'd passed out again?" You guess which of us is which in that scenario.

Thank you, say hi to Chey for me...

It pretty much was fully disclosed, but misdiagnosed by my in-house medical professional.

;) ;)

You have a PM from yesterday from me but you have to check Frisco_Slug_Esq to find it. You switched IDs again and I used one of your old ones!

Those in-house medical people are worth what you pay for them. Next time listen to the GB and go to the ER!

I have a bit of experience with strokes in my family. You really don't want to have a bad one and live through it if you aren't going to get your functions back. A doctor once told my family "there are things worse than death." I learned the hard way how correct he was. Glad to hear you made it through AJ, but please don't play with your life like that again. Your princess still needs you.

The only one who can check on any of my old accounts is Byron, and I don't think that's going to happen any time in the near, or distant future.

Thank you for everything, even the advice. I'll certainly take it more seriously next time.

Good luck with the job search...

;) ;)

... I wish I didn't have to go to mine, I'm still experiencing a bit of general weakness, especially on my left side.

Hmmmm... well,it said pretty much what I posted here anyway. Why in the world did you give you old accounts to Byron?

There's no accounting for the Chief and how he disposes of his handles. I have always missed Fawkin Injun the most.

Twenty-three minutes with the HR woman yesterday, and now 34 minutes with the project manager. Things might be moving along here.

We discussed at length the joys and annoyances of renovating occupied apartments. I think that went best.

The power went out last night during a huge t-storm/tornado watch, and it stayed out for 18 hours. It had been back on for 75 minutes when I got home from Job #1.

The HR lady called me back at 6:15 to tell me that the talk with the PM went very well and that they now want me to talk to the VP on Monday at 3:00.

Would this be okay, she asks.

Allah damn right it will!!!

Great! Good Luck!

Actually, there is me and a Luddite, but neither one of us is particularly interested.

Probably because Byron asked for them. Byron told me he was collecting them. He really liked Algore and he did use that one.
He could be a bit odd at times, but he was a sweetheart:kiss::heart::kiss:

HR, PM, VP, then back to HR, then the PM, eventually the VP calls you in and sends you back to HR on the recommendation of the PM to get your pink slip.

:D :D :D

Good luck with the process!

Byron did have a lot of fun and I am glad that I was able to be a small part of it. He'd use Markov and Fawkin to ping people and they would turn around and ping me...

Happy Saturday!!! I have coffee and a happy cat. It's cool and the birds are chirping. Well, two of them are. I have a job interview today, and then I have to go to the bank (which may get put off until Monday), and then I'm going to the range to test out the new rifle and get it sighted in. And, of course, I need to buy a few more rounds of ammo. Thank Allah for online shopping.

The neighbor's orange cat, the one who spends most of its time in my yard, is up on his roof now, staring at me through my open window. He's a weird little fucker.

We should figure out how to resurrect Fawkin in some form or fashion. But, frankly, my dears, fawkin with alts isn't my thing. It would indicate a level of Emotional Investment here that I just don't have. I have had it in the past, but it's broken past repair.

I have the new rifle in the satin stock. It turned out a bit darker than the gloss stock, but for its purpose, I think that that's just fine. I am thinking of a couple of walnut ones for my next trick. They also have some with pronounced grain, at a premium, of course. Hmmm, maybe . . . .

The mimosa trees are blooming, the A_J spread is crowned by giant umbrellas of pink goodness.

:)

The Asiatic lilies are over five feet tall of pink and yellow goodness.

They make the day lilies look like an angry orange bed of envy...

Unfortunately, I kill off mimosas. They grow here like the fucking ghetto palms, and that shit has to go.

My neighbor wants the mock grapes to grow in the fenceline, and I have some invasive shit on my side that I want dead, so it should all go. I get no support. I may have to poison it all for any results.

Like the Romans did Carthage.

I also looted several nandinas this week from a job with old growth and several new ones coming up underneath, so those will have to go in this weekend, which means I need to get a couple of bags of good soil, too.

Allah damn, what a busy day. It was one damn thing after another . . .

and all of them worthwhile.

The range was a h00t. The rifle shoots like a dream, and with just plain old M80 ball, too. I'm looking forward to jacking half a box of match ammo through it next time . . . maybe.

The dinner date went nicely, too.

I was out doing the RSO thing for a match today, Hotter than hell, well, haven't been to hell yet so that statement's up for grabs.

But yesterday was a hoot. We were setting up for the 3gun today and a local friend had some 'B' class actors out for firearms training. He walked them through the basics while we were setting up for the match. When we got done with the setup we went over and shot up a few magazines with a couple of M16's and MP5's on full 'rock and roll'. Shot a couple of magazines through an M14A2 as well. The M16's and MP5 were a piece of cake, the M14 will away on ya if you aren't careful. All in all it made the damn near 100 deg. temps bearable.
