if history teaches us anything it's, "The Past is Prologue." So to take a glimpse of the past how about, "It's the Economy, Stupid!"
It's not bathrooms or birth control, or any of the other crap that is used to distract us from reality.

So lets look at one of the "Hot New Ideas" from Washington?

The Chained CPI

Poor CPI chained, wait what the fuck is it? The Consumer Price Index which is used to determine things like Social Security increases.

In their relentless demand for spending cuts as part of their crusade to impose austerity on our economy, conservatives have fixated on cuts to benefits offered by Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security – the core pillars of family security.

One particularly noxious idea is the “chained CPI.” Conservatives like it because it would cut Social Security benefits immediately for everyone in the system – if we let them replace the more scientific index we have used for years to make sure benefits keep up with the cost of living. And some Democrats like it because it’s a way to give deficit hawks real spending reduction – while pretending it is simply a “technical fix,” not a benefit cut.

Obama administration officials have also argued that the chained CPI is a better index – and the president himself has offered it as part a “grand bargain” on deficit reduction.

Oh Fuck, not another Obama Grand Bargain! Yep sure as God Made... well as rain in July maybe.

So, what are issues? Hillary's incompetence as Sec. of State and her risking of highly classified info and her general dishonesty, certainly. Also Trumps apparent racism and arrogance and crooked business dealings.

In other words, details of what the candidates have done in the past.

The rich have run a huge scam on humanity called neoliberalism which is really class war disguised as an economic doctrine. The mainstream of the economics profession are the high priests of the religion.

And they've successfully convinced the general public (and the political/media elite) that deficits are bad and must be avoided and that so called government debt is a liability of the people.

It's all just a hoax but the 'serious people' that follow politics all accept it as truth despite the fact that it doesn't make sense.

The gold standard was finally put to rest in 1971/73 and everything changed. It's about time that we woke up to that.

Box, did you not read the article? The was the issue that I was raising. The Government want to use an unreasonable CPI variation to insure SS is cut for the many, so the 1% can get a new Buggatti, those things a expensive you know.

You just want to discuss the fluff and not the real issues that truly matters to millions of people.

If you want to beat Hillary up use another thread, please. There are plenty of "He Said-She Said" threads, take your pick.

An interesting thing happened in the latest polls.

The Economist/YouGov collected data on Obama's Approval Rating.
Approve 46, Disapprove 52 Disapprove +6 Pretty bad numbers right?

But Congress was... see for yourselves.
The Economist/YouGov Approve 9, Disapprove 69 Disapprove +60 !!!!!

Basically 10X the number of people don't like what Congress has been up to, compared the the Usurper In Chief, and it has only gotten worse! I remember when as many as 30% approved of Congress.

The kicker was this.
Direction of Country Right Direction 25, Wrong Track 67 Wrong Track +42

So two thirds of the American people think we are on the wrong track and yet Hillary want to run on "More Of The Same".

Be Honest with yourself, do you want "More Of The Same Old Shit?" Or, do you want to see "Something Fucking Progressive!"

Wait, you don't know what political issues are?

DuPont Knowingly Poured Poison in the Ohio River and Turned a Blind Eye

America’s Lawyer, Mike Papantonio, appears on RT’s Redacted Tonight to discuss DuPont’s history with a deadly product known as C8, which they dumped into the Ohio river.

The Dept of Justice has had the evidence for years and no one is even indited?

Bartlett claimed that Wilmington, Delaware-based DuPont knew the chemical was toxic and hid that information from the public and regulators. Her lawyers cited internal tests, including one in 1981 that showed a high level of birth defects among children of female workers at the Parkersburg plant. DuPont failed to report that and other data about the chemical to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, resulting in a $16.5 million penalty in 2005.

So the stockholders have to bear the fine but the assholes that caused it are still playing golf? Oh Loretta, are you too like Holder, a shill for the establishment rather than an advocate for progress?
