Simon! Hello!

I think you have told me that before, but I'd forgotten it was in Rome...

And, of course I have to ask..... Did you comply? I might have dropped my panino ;)
I judged she was in focussed pick-up mode. I reckoned she was interested in a lot more than my chest. So ... I did not. In British Gentlemanly Fashion of course.

**He opens the door gently and peeks around it into the room** 'Hello?.. Anybody there?
**Theres no answer so he cautiously enters and sits on the nearest seat to the door, taking in the surrounding and inhaling large lungful's of exquisite perfumes that linger in the silence of the lavish Boudoir.**
Decides to read the page.

Hey, Jamie! I'm just posting a Rome pic in the Couples thread, back in a tick... ;)

So, things I know about Rome:
Ancient city steeped in religious and romantic legend and encrusted with equally ancient architecture and the source of many wondrous inventions and practices and also extremely alluring hotel window portraits :D...Very nice..

Ah, I may well Roam over to see if the Rome posting was successful and therefore if in turn my roam was successful.:)

(Watch out for those 'roaming' charges... ;))

It's here.

There are more pics :)devil:), but I haven't sorted them all out yet.

It's pretty incredible. You sort of get used to coming around the corner and suddenly there's the Coliseum, or the Pantheon, or some ancient pedestal of a column from a long ruined building... It's massively busy, tourists of all origins (including me, of course, I don't imagine I'm above that!), which is kind of alarming for a country bumpkin like myself.

I last went about seventeen years ago, so we did different things this time. Including naughty window displays... :)

I'm lucky in that I have a reasonable package that accommodates roaming without the inconvenience of hidden nasties....................Like roaming data charges and such.........:D.

It is a place I will visit some time in the coming couple of years. I am somewhat of an art addict so naturally, its on the list.:)

Me too, in theory. Failed somewhat in Rome on the last morning, although it's usually fine in France and Italy, where I go most. (Note to self: ring them up and yell in an unladylike fashion). It also doesn't work in Belgium, where I've been working on and off, which is annoying.

Do you get out of Oz much?

We really wanted to see the Bernini 'Ecstasy of Santa Teresa', and made it to the church, but it had just shut for lunch, unfortunately, and we didn't make it back there after the first attempt. It looks so affecting in pictures, I really wanted to see it in the flesh, as it were.

Although it's clearly an orgasm ;)

Its the paradox of Telephone companies complaints and faults..: Even when theyre at fault they make money, but I will admit to at one time enjoying frivolously throwing $1.50 at them just so I could be repeatedly cut off for swearing..:D...

No, I havnt travelled outside of Australia for the last 2years. I have of late had a yearning to visit places with more architectural and art history..i miss cobbled roads and sandstone buildings sometimes..

Bernini 'Ecstasy of Santa Teresa': spot on appraisal;)

*peeking in to say hello to my favorite Brits* Hi Lady Numi and Lord Hornblende :)

Hello, Lord Dark

How are you doing today? H pointed me to your voice recording a few days ago - wow... *melts* You sound like treacle dripping oh so slowly from a spoon, all smooth and glistening.

I've totally changed my mind about your 'compliment in the restaurant' scenario now. I think just swing by the table and say something. Anything. A recital of "Mary had a little lamb" would probably even do it ;)

Well now, I do think you are a true gentleman, Simon.

But.

I'm also quite certain that you can be incited to really rather disreputable conduct in private. If I ask nicely enough....

Sending some love and a huge hug for sweet Numeni...:rose::rose::rose:

Hey, BC, it's always a joy to see you  I hope things are well with you, and your dear ones as healthy and well as they can be. You always take such good care of everyone else, I hope you're taking some time for yourself, too.

Shall I come over and wash your hair and paint your toenails for you? :rose:

Just wanted to say hello and your pictures are amazing :rose:

Hello to you too, PD - I don't think we've met before, have we? Welcome, and thank you for stopping by :) And thank you for your compliment too... Stay tuned, I have some good ones from my recent Rome trip

Absolutely exhausted now, after a morning working in the garden in the rain, a brief panic at work, and then the afternoon cleaning the house ready for visitors this weekend.

I so need a drink now! Good job it's the cocktail hour over here :D
