Did the internet crash tonight?

For more than 2 hours tonight I couldn't get online ... with Literotica, Google, Bing, Google Maps, and a dozen other sites I use regularly. I was able to get on one single roleplay site that has it"s own server, but nothing else.

Any comments?

I am on the West Coast of America if that means anything.

That usually indicates a lack of serious malice.

Perhaps you need to grow a few layers before venturing onto the scary gb?
 
Yes, the vast unknown being called the internet went down for everyone in the world.

Or if you were bright enough to figure it out on your own, you could have just called up your isp to find out.
 
I told the Toronto Star once that an outtage in greater Toronto was "planned downtime for routine internet pipe-cleaning."

Another time, I plugged my laptop in at the NOC and pulled an IP address out of the block to use...then went to lunch.

Turned out I'd picked the IP of the Name Server for customer accounts for the eastern half of the country.

The little pasty-faced NOC geeks were not happy.

No you didn't, shorty.And have someone explain subnetting to you in small words so you understand why what you just claimed is impossible.

I missed all the fun. We usually sleep at that time of night.
Last week we had a tiny power surge and soon after that I lost internet. After I paniced and wondered if my life was over I remembered what my kids told me.

I unplugged the power cord to the modom then went to pee. Plugged it back in and watched the pretty blue lights blink until I was online again

The peeing had nothing to do with it. I just had to go about the time I was waiting a few minutes.
As for Warrier Queen. I knew she's a Troll but I still like her. I got the memo.
She's a car guy and she knows car things!;)

Found yet another issue with my car when I was running it during the cooling system flush... I have a major leak on my exhaust manifold gasket. Yet another thing that needs to be fixed :rolleyes:
At least I fixed the overheating problem!
