Conservative Christian candidate lies ass off about looking at porn

ARLINGTON, Va. -- The speed of technological changes in modern political campaigning appears to have zoomed right by a conservative congressional candidate in Virginia.

Mike Webb, who is running as an independent after losing the Republican primary in the 8th District in eastern Virginia, posted an attack against his opponent on Facebook on Monday afternoon. The self-described conservative with a libertarian streak included a screenshot from a web browser, and forgot to close all the tabs.

CBS affiliate WTKR-TV reports pages with the titles "Ivone Sexy Amateur" and "Layla Rivera Tight" were both open, along with an AT&T bill pay page. While it's not exactly clear what was displayed on those pages, both search terms call up results for two porn stars, the station reports.

His excuse? Take your pick:

"What happened is actually kind of interesting. I initially got hit with a cyber-attack on my FEC data file and there was a lot of I guess speculation in terms of where we got it," Webb said. "We took it to Best Buy and we found out we had 400 viruses on the computer."

Webb said technicians at Best Buy told him the viruses likely came from porn sites, which he says he does not visit. Webb told WUSA-TV he visited the porn sites seen open in his tabs to test their theory.

"I'm a conservative. My dad is a pastor. When I go into church, I am just a pastor's son," Webb said. "I was just looking around in terms of different things, at that point. I didn't even know what I was clicking. So, I said, 'Let's just choose one.' ... They said you have to actually click on the ads inside the site to get a virus."

Webb added that this research was especially important because he was was running for federal office, stating, "There's Russians looking for federal candidates."

His rambling defense:

"From a faith based perspective and as a preacher's kid, I probably would not be comfortable with "adult" topics, but politically, within certain parameters, as a conservative with many libertarian ideas, it can and should be discussed. In this campaign and in the exploratory phases we touched on dating sites and the song" that entraps many in Nigerian scams and we have on many occasions discussed the taboo topic of forcible sexual abuse that in 2014 in Virginia found young white girls below the ages of 17 exponentially more likely the victims than any other than victims of this crime, and, in our own Falls Church, we have some brave parents continue to break the silence with their "We Support the Girls" campaign. So, from that perspective, I do not really see a problem with the viewing of some tabs on a screenshot, even if it does show the scrutiny to which some candidates for office are subjected. In December one viewer blew up images from my social media page to suggest that I was engaging in subliminal messaging.

Who cares if men watch porn or touch their dangly bits? Who cares if they lie about it?

Just like people with hemorrhoids probably don't feel like giving the world all the details of how they use preparation h, porn is just as private.

It's not so much that it happens, it's that it happens to people who claim to be religious and don't look at porn then, when caught red-handed, make every excuse under the Sun why they were looking at porn.

If you're going to claim the moral high ground it might behoove you to do what you say.

Behooving is very judgemental and kinky people who hang out on an erotic lit site shouldn't judge.

I stand by my original statement. Men are pervs and he is still a man. I don't care if he is the pope, he is no better or worse than any other guy on the street. If you have people worshipping you and have them brainwashed to believe you sit at God's right-hand, then false idols are a much bigger problem than porn.

Men have testosterone, they wake up with a woody, it doesn't always obey, it needs readjustment, they have to hold it to pee, it wears a cute Dath Vadar hat, it gets sweaty, the hair gets pulled, on and on...my point (haha) is that the cock is a very prominent part of a man's daily life. Even if he wanted to escape it, he can't.

Just assume every guy watches porn. If they say they don't, accept their answer, then assume they watch porn. You can save yourself the trouble of finger pointing and the delightful glee of kicking the stool out from someone.
