Different reasons for the same dumb impression:
They thought that I'm a man because, due to my background and awkward syntax, I come across as too blunt, unsophisticated and unable to read subtext (which I am, as far as english communication goes).
Whereas Ann (if you're referring to ms_nnThroppe): her posts were very intelligent and snarky, so that equals male for certain dumbasses. Plus (s)he was not interested in showcasing her body, or in cybersex.
Odd. From the pov of an ESL, I thought that LibSam was a guy, at first.
But I didn't think that Ann was a guy. I mean, other than Queri, what guy is interested in the GB "gossip" to such a degree, and starts threads about cupcakes, cookies and animal balloons?
I liked Ann too. But for the mean stuff, I thought that her/his posts were very entertaining.
