Where to post a story

I'm writing a short story about a guy, his fuckbuddy and her mom. The main focus is going to be on the protagonist and the mom, but the beginning involves the daughter and him. Should I post in Mature, First times, or Erotic Couplings?

Ah, yes. It is puzzling. I wouldn't work myself into a high lather over it. The way I look at it, you are guessing which crowd it will go over best with. And Laurel has veto rights if she thinks it fits another category better.

For me, I'd probably aim for Erotic Couplings unless there is at least twenty years difference in the ages of Little Johnny and Mom. Incest if Mom and Daughter are even naked with him at the same time. But, that's just my opinion and I pretty much suck at picking categories if not as bad as titles and tags.

If the main focus of the story is the relationship with the older woman, then put it in Mature. Age-difference stories do really well there. The readership isn't going to care about the "off topic" beginning, so long as the rest of the story fits the bill.

In my experience your story can still end up in a different category, depending on the whim of the person or bot classifying it.

A Reindeer by Any Other Name is a paranormal and a gay story. But on lit, you can't list something under several genres. Apparently non-human trumps gay. That's the sort of thing I leave up to the person/bot
