Are you actually implying that the biggest problem with this is that teenagers are supposedly so sexually ravenous that they'll just mount each other like animals when they see the opposite gender nude?

The only assumption I can make about this is that you're >80 and don't remember how people without neurological degradation think or you're projecting your own thoughts onto modern teenagers. Rep. Steve King (R-IA) is terrified about the influx of “sweaty women” our country will have if transgender people are allowed to share a bathroom.

In an appearance on Simon Conway’s radio show, King addressed the Obama administration’s guidance on transgender youth using whatever bathroom matches their gender identity, according to BuzzFeed News. The Iowa Congressman urged Americans to take to the streets in protest.

“We should call for civil disobedience here. And there’s no reason for us to follow an unconstitutional edict from the president, who is on his way out the door,” he said.

King also told Conway that the only reason the White House came out on this issue was because the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights’ “personnel needed to find more things to do.”

Conway remarked that his daughters won’t want to shower at the gym anymore out of fear.

“Well, and that will probably change our culture,” King agreed. “We’ll have a bunch of sweaty women around.”

If teenagers are going to have sex (and they are) - it's not going to be in a crowded locker room. Hell, most adults won't have sex in a crowded locker room. If you've ever had the experience of co-ed showers or shared locker rooms, you know that the bloom of seeing someone naked wears off very quickly, like nudism.

I think someone is spending too much time thinking about girls in showers: probably underage girls in showers.
btw - I stopped being able to either rape or impregnate a woman about 12mths into my hormone treatment. As for trans women who still have functioning bits and are not on any hormone regime, well, schools are not going to let them showers with other girls because these ( rare ) things are worked out on a case by case basis. Communal showers surely went out in the last century anyway?
