Trans women are women too, and kids who are trans are kids too - do they want to be raped or assaulted in bathrooms? These laws (solutions in search of a problem) will not stop one single predatory rapist or pervert from entering a female restroom, but it certainly will put trans people in danger - THAT IS WHOLE POINT. There was no problem before the law, now all of a sudden there are monsters under people's beds and boogey men ready to drag your kids away. the co-op supermarkets i've seen n the uk have facilities that aren't gender-nominated.
my main localish store is fairly large and has 4 facilities, all under one umbrella-room that opens (no doors) onto the customer service area by the doors. each facility has solid walls and locking doors, with a baby-changing unit and a larger facility designated for wheelchair users. people go in, use one of the loos, exit, wash their hands, and leave. no mirrors. no one is bothered by using a loo as they would in someone else's home. it's not even an issue!
