Transgendereism

Trans women are women too, and kids who are trans are kids too - do they want to be raped or assaulted in bathrooms? These laws (solutions in search of a problem) will not stop one single predatory rapist or pervert from entering a female restroom, but it certainly will put trans people in danger - THAT IS WHOLE POINT. There was no problem before the law, now all of a sudden there are monsters under people's beds and boogey men ready to drag your kids away. For fucks sake get a grip people: you are all falling for an agenda being pushed by extremists and lapping it up.

There already are laws against rapists and predators in the wrong bathroom - don't you get this?
I agree with you on the terrible discrimination and the hate crimes.
And that THOSE are poorly addressed and need to be addressed.
I also agree with you on some other points (related to schools, workplaces and so on), but I disagree on the ones related to the Target policy.

1.Imo, a person with GID who looks like a female Is definitely in danger indeed.
- So for them, using the women's bathroom is much much more appropriate.

But whereas a person with GID who hasn't had hormonal treatment yet. (or started it, but still looks like a male) is in danger in settings where people know him/her (schools, workplaces),
- (s)he isn't in danger in shopping malls or other public places. How could anyone tell whether (s)he's transgender, unless (s)he tells them?

2.In other words, on one hand I agree with you, that a person who identifies themselves as the other gender should use the appropriate restroom in schools, workplace etc. Regardless of their treatment phase or their external appearance.

But come on, let's have a bit of common sense. In shopping malls like Target?
Taking the word of every male-looking person who claims that he hasn't had hormonal treatment yet, but has GID? And allowing him unrestricted access to bathrooms where women and little girls are semi-naked in closed cubicles? I think that's bloody unsafe, CCTV cameras or no cameras.

If you are keen to enforce that rule in shopping malls (as opposed to applying it in safe, monitored settings such as schools, workplaces and so on where everyone knows everyone) that makes YOU selfish. Because you're putting your needs before the potential safety of so many other women and little girls.

You didn't read my post. There are already laws to cover those situations and to date there have been two or three incidents of cranks walking into a Ladies room and they were charged under EXISTING legislation. No amount of legislation will stop a drunk, a religious nut or someone off their face on meth from doing whatever they, BUT there are ALREADY LAWS to cover this.
These bathroom laws specifically target transgender people who just want to take a pee, not steal kids, not video women. Common sense is what we had before - now is nuts.
There have already been instances of cis gender women arrested for using the Ladies room because they DIDN'T look female enough. Common sense enough for you? Next we'll have men dictating how we should dress and wearing burkhas

I don't know much about the legal system in the States or about other situations, but I was referring only to what I read about the Target store situation. That seemed over-the top to me.

the co-op supermarkets i've seen n the uk have facilities that aren't gender-nominated.
my main localish store is fairly large and has 4 facilities, all under one umbrella-room that opens (no doors) onto the customer service area by the doors. each facility has solid walls and locking doors, with a baby-changing unit and a larger facility designated for wheelchair users. people go in, use one of the loos, exit, wash their hands, and leave. no mirrors. no one is bothered by using a loo as they would in someone else's home. it's not even an issue!

Here's some instances
Here's a report of a man videoing in a ladies - had he been caught, he would have been arrested under existing laws ( bastard )

Here's some video of a woman being ejected from a ladies room ( because knucklehead asked her for ID )

It's people like American Family Values Association ( a recognised hate group ) who are pushing this agenda. I'll let the law in the USA decide what and what isn't discriminatory, not hysteria or paranoia. I don't care that haters will hate, and I don't want one woman raped or one child predated on but that statistics don't stack up. Trans people haven't suddenly appeared - we have been around for years and the has been NO PROBLEM - show me one instance where a transgender person has assaulted and woman or child in the USA. There are none. So why the new law? What I can't accept is that all trans women will be forced into a situation where they are put in harms way by real threats, not imagined ones as you suppose will happen by droves of men bursting into ladies rooms and violating them.

I don't know what else I can say to make the obvious stupidity and maliciousness of these laws more obvious. So I won't. Haters will hate. Haters will whack off to shemale videos and next day beat us to death. We have no agenda except to get on with our lives and be useful members of society.

I currently live in Australia (in a smaller place where I find people to be a bit small-minded, tbh). But prior to that I lived in NZ for many years.

And although some NZers are bigotted and over-the top PC in other ways (like any nation) I found them to be (with the rare exceptions, of course) very matter-of fact in their approach to others' sexual orientation or gender-related issues.
Like: ok, some people are diffrent in certain ways, so what's the big deal? Why should we treat them any worse or any better than anyone else?
- And they haven't felt the need to enforce these Target-type policies which would be over-the top there.
- And I heard of very few aggressive incidents other than some cases of 'purposeful deception' or whatever.

I liked their way of approaching these things and I guess their attitude and direct nonPC way of dealing with this particular issue rubbed on me a bit.

The Kiwis are human shit who refused to loar and unload military gear for our Marines when invasions by the Japs seemed certain.

Hashy stop making fun of Gooberdownsouth, he is doing his best. #Selfloathinghatefilledbaldheadedgeek

Lol…
I'm mainly doing it because I came across many mind-boggling ideas and attitudes here on Lit, but He tops them all, and I still can't get my head around the things that he's saying and doing.

But on a more serious note:
His vile attacks on family members and re horrible tragedies from posters' pasts make me cringe every single time. No other poster has been so vile.
The fact that he stalked me lately too with xenophobic and 'homophobic' slurs under his smootG alt (and who knows what other attack alts are his) doesn't help either.

The Kiwis are human shit .
Nice to hear you talking about whites in that way for a change, lol…

You're talking to the wrong person - I'm a bit illiterate in history.
Can you give me an interesting link on that or ellaborate a bit, taa

All was not plain sailing however, as experienced by the 1st Marine Division - due to the fact that the Wellington dock workers were on strike at the time so the Marines had to do all the load reconfiguration from administrative to combat configuration.[6]

Kiwi shit wouldn't load Marine ships headed for Guadalcanal.

Look up 1st Marine Division 1942 Wellington NZ and Guadalcanal

So you bitch at me for what you call "censoring free speech"
What?

and then go on a rant about murdering people that you claim have a mental disorder?
It's not murder.

kind of reminds me of american horror story: asylum; the people running the joint were way wayyyy scarier than the so-called mentally ill inmates. mental illness, just another name for sin, ammirite? or an excuse for science to do some terrible things. and for those labeled as sinful/mentally ill - the homosexual, just for instance - who are sane? jeez

thank fuck times move on, science learns, and the old ways die out
No you retard, there are mentally ill people, you are likely one of them.

You do realise that not every human is exclusively male or female? There are people who are both, or neither, and it is physical not mental.

But facts don't matter in political arguments.
Yes, and they are aberrations.

Lieutenant Governor Dan Forest released the following statement in response to President Obama's bathroom policy directive:

"North Carolina will not stand by and let our locker rooms and high school showers be used for social experimentation at the expense of the privacy and protection of our young boys and girls. I do not think it is appropriate for teenage boys and girls to share the same bathroom. I don't think it appropriate for teenage boys and girls to shower next to each other. I don't think it is appropriate for male coaches and male teachers to have access to girls' locker rooms and showers while the young girls are naked and exposed. I feel confident, the vast majority of North Carolina parents feel the same.

The President needs a reminder that the United States Constitution grants education decision authority to the states and localities not to the President of the United States. Our current state policy protects our children by maintaining bathrooms and restrooms consistent with the biological sex of the child and already gives schools, should special circumstances arise, the freedom to grant private single stall - single shower bathroom accommodations to individuals who might not otherwise be comfortable using the bathroom of their biological sex or a bathroom shared with other people. This is the only reasonable response to the situation that exists today. Opening all showers and all restrooms to all sexes at all times as the President is suggesting, is not a reasonable solution, but an invitation for violations of privacy and personal safety.

North Carolina public schools in receipt of the President's letter are reminded that there is a binding state law on the books governing bathroom policy and the President's non-binding directive is merely his attempt to push his version of a social policy on our state with no Constitutional authority to do so. It should be rejected as a matter of principle and policy."

Blah, blah, blah, blah...blah.

What the Governor needs to tell Obummer is to take all the fed education money and stick it up his socialist ass. Until then, NC and the rest of the wannabes remain dependent.

Well yeah but, "(CNN) - The American Psychiatric Association announced this month approved changes in its official guide to classifying mental illnesses."

That from a Dec. 2012 news interview with a transgendered man. (F to M) In that same interview they made an announcement that Pres. Obama ordered Medicaid to pay for transgendered counseling and surgery.

For any of you that think you should kill any transgenders, exercise extreme caution when you come to kill my trans daughter (M to F) Come very carefully and very well armed. My 24 years in the military, two tours in Viet Nam assures there one be some dead, one will most certainly be me but. I shall be very disappointed if the Devil tells me I only brought 6 of you with me.

If I feel like a woman, identify as a woman and dress as a women, can I compete for women's grants, scholarships and on the softball team even if I cling to my penis and testosterone?

Where does this crazy train end?
