I got the trolls all stirred up

I put some loose bits and pieces up recently. One of which ended up in LW. To be fair they aren't masterpieces, just snippets that i've cut from other stories and turned into short floggers. First time I've had to delete comments. They were not even related to the story but just hating on the site and beta testing or some such thing. So much angst... Don't wank angry kids!

Given that, why the fuck does LW even exist? It isn't a category if the readers fall into two completely opposed camps. I doubt that there would be a reduction in readership if the category were divided, and more authors might post there. Personally, I'll post anywhere but to LW.

Maybe it all comes from "Loving Wives" being an apparent sarcasm to start with.

I like posting in LW. Lots more reads than in Group or EC and trolls are so fun to mess with. You just don't get the same trolls in Group. Yeah the scores are lower and the comments are usually inanely stupid, but they're fun to read and then make fun of.

I do wish that those who favorite stories and authors would give feedback as well, but I'll take the favorites. That tells me that there are people who like what I write.

ED: This reminds me of a job I did once where we were called to a seige incident where a mental health patient was holding his mother hostage.

About 3-4 hours later after much negotiation we were able to enter the house and take the dude into custody, only to find he was just really angry about a side affect of his latest psych drugs... Apparently they resulted in ejaculatory incompetence and he had been wanking angrily the whole time. (Little disturbed about the mother/hostage part of that...but anyway.) He showed us his dick which he was still busy flogging up until we cuffed him and he had gone at it so hard that it had blistered and skin had peeled back from the shaft and part of the head. It took many beers to wash that picture out of my head when I got home that night, and it was a few weeks until I could have a wank without the image ruining it for me.

From what I gather from older members here, LW was not always this snake pit and many of the stories had romantic angles, truly loving wives who were simply adventurous and their husbands who enjoyed them being that way or 'real' stories of infidelity and reconciling it.

Now its a pit and there are more then two sides, in fact the factions have factions. For example in the story I mentioned where the wife had the shock collar on the husband he cheated first so the wife cheated as revenge and apparently there is a faction there that hates cheating period no matter who does it and the story actually has an H.

My theory FWIW is the surge of the cuck fetish in real life and the way it has devolved from the 'cuck' always being willing and enjoying his wofe's dalliances to turning into out right humiliation and degradation of the husband which gets the 'real men' in an uproar.

The wives have become more and more the cheating to cause pain type and the husbands less and less into it, of course throw in the BBC obsessed morons and the countless every 'black bull' is a ghetto thug who demeans white women while fucking them and the husbands and you now have the racists in an uproar

The entire category now appeals to nothing but hatred mostly towards women, violence towards women in the BTB stories torture of women and on the other end, ridiculous humiliation of the men(husbands) and also violence and torture of the men who are the lovers.

Its a cess pool of hate and the site encourages it. Not long ago there was a thread discussing how 'old style' LW stories that had romance and substance were being put into EC because the trolls were upset

I did three there, one a joke, one a wonder how this will work and recently a third where I made an effort to see what would happen if I made the first half look like cuck abuse, but flipped the script at the end and all was well between hubby and wife, it seemed to work, not a lot of hate and decent score for the category.

But the majority of men over there are the type I have serious issues with, which means its pretty much the element the site is looking to draw with that type of material. Of course the site only posts what people submit and the baiting of the loons has also added to the crap that goes on there.

Most of my trolls either show no familiarity with the story at all or only comment on a sentence or two from the last page. I think it's pretty common to go straight to the last page and leave a nasty comment and a one-vote. (I have a sense, though, that many LW readers read it all and then leave multiple one-votes.)

I was a longtime reader here before I posted anything; never did any commenting, voting, or forum-ing prior to writing. I had no idea any of this kind of faction stuff was lurking behind the scenes.

Probably should have done a little research before putting anything in LW. Though most of my stories deal with infidelity, I've only posted two in LW. They're by far my lowest-rated pieces, with the most "vigorous" comments. Whatever.

I, too, enjoy reading the sillier comments, especially the anons.

I find this thread interesting and giving us confidence to continue.
Since I suggested my wife use LOVING WIVES I suppose she must continue with her stories there.

Here is a fun fact. Yes she wrote the stories for another porn site and she posts them here. In reality she knows even less than I do about story writting and Lit rules. I have to change the paragraphs and some sentences.

Which means even though Dollie does the stories and posts them, they would be no different if I posted them under my name and under exhibitionists.
Makes me wonder what her ratings would be then?????

Because it is a female she gets all of the crap hate from anons hiding in the weeds.
Again a member some call Spam stuck up for Dollie and countered the "1's".

What we have seen is she gets more comments than I do on all of my stories. This can't be a bad thing.

Oh, no doubt about it, the trolls did not like my story. But it has enough favorites to say that some people did.

What the trolls don't understand is: I don't write the stories for them. I write the stories for me and for those who enjoy my stories.

And they are trolls. Their posts are inaccurate and hate-filled spews of stupidity. That makes them a troll.

Those who leave thoughtful intelligent comments, positive or negative are not trolls. "cuck shit" on a story that doesn't involve the cuckolding fetish is a troll comment. The person either didn't read the story or they don't understand the fetish or both. Besides that, how enormously hypocritical to be reading a porn story posted by someone who prides themselves on writing porn, and then complaining about a fetish. I have no problem with the cuckold fetish, but this comment clearly shows that this particular troll believes that anyone who enjoys that fetish is not as good as them. Sort of "I like porn, but not that porn, so I'm better than you!"

Both from a technical standpoint (you really need an editor) and from a storyline point of view. These were simply unlikeable characters, acting in mindless, unimaginative ways. Nothing sexy or erotic about it. In the end, I simply didn't care what happened to whom because it just wasn't interesting.
No stars because even giving this mess one star would be an insult to the star.

That's a good one. Makes me really want to read your story.

So your wife didn't write her story for him/her. You won't please everyone. To the trolls if you don't hit their particular interest then the story is poorly written. To the point of unlikable characters, well not all characters should be liked. Not all people are "likable." Why would we only write "Likable" characters.

In my story, the main character, Lilly, was a selfish, self-absorbed, woman driven by an obsession even she didn't understand. Not really the attributes that make someone likable. But without her selfish behavior there is no story. Besides it was a porn story. How many porn flicks have you watched where at the end you go. "You know Tiffany Towers is just the most likable person. I wish she would join our sunday school class."

that's not a troll comment - IMO. the reasons were there, quite clearly. it's a reasoned point-of-view. it might sting a tad, but...
