Why should candidates be expected to release their tax returns?

I think it only serves to make fewer qualified people run for office.

It identifies those that are convincing lairs, a President needs to be convincing in his lies. I mean look at "W", he couldn't lie his way out of a bad joke.

A President shouldn't be practicing their ability to lie, nor need a lair.

The true question is why you have to have a paying job to be "paying taxes" enough to then have to fill-out paperwork/"file" taxes (more work) in order to get money back from the "IRS" (should be a "Return Service") every year... People pay taxes when they buy most of their meals (be it groceries for later in the week/month, anything they eat at so-called "fast food", or buffets they have to pay more for despite getting all the food for themselves), &:

1] The money they get goes up annually if the "cost of living" does, but the former only a nickel for every $100 the latter rises;

&

2] They use it to pay taxes on a vast majority of purchases, & never get any of that money that is rightfully theirs returned to them!!!

Its all bullshit because plenty of income is untaxed. Its like pussy. There aint no free pussy, it all costs plenty, one way or another.

First, you are mixing taxes. Taxes on purchases are all state and/or local; they have nothing to do with the president (the federal level). Beyond that, what do you think happens to that tax money? It's supposed to pay for common good services using economy of scales. If you had to pay individually for what you're getting in common good services, what you pay in the various forms of taxes wouldn't cover it and you'd be swamped in attempting to contract for it all yourself. (For starters, spend a day trying to contract for a battleship for your defense, asphalt paving for your transportation, bricks to build the neighborhood school your property values are based on even if you don't have any children in school [although I must say that your post reads like you are a child in school], and a test lab to ensure there's no lead in your coffee--all at once.)

Sorry, but your post is really, really muddled.

You know, those two clauses really (really) don't make sense together.

For the first one, though ("plenty of income is untaxed"), that could be easily confirmed if The Donald would only release his tax statements.

I'm always interested in new tips and tricks on how to cheat the tax man. Their tax returns are the only string free gift we will ever receive.

Last year the IRS released my records to Mexicans who then used me and 25 others to open accounts all over Southern California. The IRS notified me with a IT SUX TO BE YOU-Gram, but they have no obligation or liability to protect your records. IRS employees with access can fuck you.

The IRS told me Vlad Putin hacked their computer, but it was a clerk who made copies of us with good credit, and sold it to the Mexicans. The detectives clued me in. clerks with passwords is the problem, not Vlad.

I hope he at least asked for the "all you can eat at any taco truck, no extra charge for listeria, e-coli or salmonella, card".

On the bright side...you have accounts all over SoCal. Just prove it with your social. A bucket full of pesos, soon you'll be livin' the dream!

If you want to hold office, there isn't much information that shouldn't be open to public review.

Where have you lived, what schools, your grades, what jobs, medical record, criminal record, are your parents US Citizens, are you married/divorced, any children, etc.

Beyond that, what do you think happens to that tax money? It's supposed to pay for common good services using economy of scales.
Most of which are things the government should not be spending on.

The things they should be spending on are likely being overpaid, the government is wasteful.

Where were you when The Bummer was withholding his school records, birth certificate, etc.?

Can you guys get a class action suit?

They shouldn't. It's just one more thing we've managed to fuck ourselves with.

Give me a date and I'll tell you where I was. Why do you think I was any particular place in any particular frame of mind at that time? Beyond that, tax records and school records and birth certificates aren't in any rationale way the same. You'd have to be dumber than a lamp post to believe that. Hey, wait, you are dumber than a lamp post.

Some Mexican must have been really pissed when he discovered that he had to pay good money to acquire your background. :D

(Assuming, of course, you aren't doing your usual--just making it all up.)

I agree. It's dumb, but entertaining. About 20% of presidential candidates decline to it.

I get taxes but not why they are pressured into banking history

Not that I necessarily loved Romney in 2012 but I found it funny that people got on him for keeping money in Switzerland and the Cauman Islands instead of the U.S banks. This just came right after the entire country blasted the U.S banks for causing the recession and then people got mad at Romney for not trusting them.

Blame Nixon. If he hadn't done it in 1952 in response to the whole "Checkers" business, no one might have thought it was any of the public's business what politicians make or pay in taxes. On the plus side, it reminds people that if they want to have a career in politics, they'd better either pay their fair share or never run for President.

I remember that well. Romney willingly released his 2010 and 2011 tax returns (12 million and 6 million in the infamous "Carried Interest" loophole, btw) but fought tooth, fang and claw resisting release of his 2009 return.

Why?

Because in 2009 the US government offered a one-time only Tax Penalty amnesty if you declared and paid taxes on Swiss bank accounts.

Obviously Mittens had quite a vested interest in not letting THAT particular schedule see the light of day.

I'm forgoing your final sentence b/c mine wasn't muddled, & yours may or may not be, but is certainly the printed version of long-winded, off-topic crap, some of which isn't even true, I'm sure.

You can think that if you like. I think you're off in lalala land somewhere, so there's little likelihood of running into you again.

(Yes, I notice that you didn't address substance in your last post.)

You are pure slime!

You think not releasing tax records is more important than not releasing birth records?

You fucking moron, being a natural born Citizen is a REQUIREMENT of becoming President!

A person who is a PUBLIC servant, like BeZerkBernie, CriminalCuntClinton and NIGGER Hussein should release taxes cause they are easy to see if they are being bribed

A person who ISNT in the public domain, SHOULDNT

The thing is nobody knows that a natural born Citizen is and that's a stupid requirement anyway.

Neither are particularly important but between the two the tax records are easily more important. One shows the content of your character, the other the circumstances of your birth.

The hell should I when your posts don't include any?!

While we're on questions, what Hussein is running for President? What candidate isn't in the public domain?
