After like six months of hearing nothing but that The Donald cannot win, I would not make that bet. I kept thinking, this is where he fades, this is where he fades, this will do him in, but nothing did him in, so I cannot keep going to that well.

David French over at NRO had a great piece a few days ago pointing out that The Donald (and Hillary) come pre-framed, so the usual Democrat tactic of defining the Republican Candidate in their terms will no longer work because the Kardashian of the Political World is already framed by his celebrity status and no one, but no one, really "likes" Hillary. It's just her turn to take the HISTORICAL MOMENT!

It won't be Palin, but it will be someone like Palin, a political unknown, who currently holds a state office, and up to this point, had no national political ambition.

That's the real catch. No one who thinks they have a future shot at the Presidency will won't have anything to do with this election.
 
Don't be surprised if he picks a Democrat like James Webb. Webb has recently talked of changing his party.
 
Cruz and Reagan are the only candidates who named running mates before their conventions. Trump has plenty of time.
 
He'd never pick an "insider" like Rubio, would he? Isn't that shooting his whole "I'm not one of them" thing in the foot?

The attack ads from Hillary would just be hours and hours of footage of Trump and "Little Marco" calling each other cunts.
 
If he picks either Christie or Cruz I will sell all my possessions, move to Vegas and increase my alcohol consumption schedule to 24/7.

That's what everyone is saying.
But there isn't a bridge from AG to prez and Christie still wants the top job, even if it means shining Trumps shoes and calling him Massa.
Christie is like fish guts in newspaper to Americans now, so I think he's angling for VP but will take AG if it isn't offered.
