Working through personal issues doesn't generally involving throwing your lot in with a controversial religious demographic like Islam.
If she was going to convert to a different faith she'd probably most likely get with 7th Day Adventists or something, Islam seems too much of a peculiar choice.

I don't wish to cast aspersions on anyone's sincere religious beliefs. There are plenty of apparently reasonably sane American celebrities who have converted to Islam and aren't obvious raving lunatics. Muhammad Ali for one and about half of the NBA.

It's Lohan's past hijinks that go against my grain. I'd gladly buy her first burka -- if she'd just promise to wear it backwards.

Lots of people marry for practical reasons.
