Any tips for a newbie to the site? I am looking for some fun role play with an older gent who can guide me through this maze.

Filling in your profile with more details is a good first step. You know, basic things like turn-ons, turn-offs, hard limits, particular areas of interest, etc.

Yeah, I agree you should fill out your profile. Also go post in the "Shoot The Shit" thread and you'll start getting to know some people. Get a few posts under your belt too, like a couple dozen or so. Might take a couple days but it helps. There are a lot of floaters and some people are hesitant to start a conversation with someone who might just lose interest in a couple of days and just never show up again. If you're looking for someone to roleplay with you'll find one, and probably many many more, but you should read the profile and some of their posts first to get a sense of who they are. My profile gives a good idea of who I am as a person. I wrote kind of a lot on there so everyone could be clear who I was so you'll probably want to put more than a line or two in there. There are a few other long profiles and frankly anyone who's too lazy to read that little bit of text is not someone I want messaging me anyway so that's a good way to weed out the "hurr hurr wanna play hurr hurr" people, of whom there are many here.
So that's pretty much what I've learned so far. I've only been here a couple of weeks but it gets pretty interesting so I've posted a lot and hopefully you will too. If you ever want to ask me anything else or whatever you're welcome to PM me. I don't do roleplaying at all though, so fair warning.
