If Texas Sen. Ted Cruz becomes the Republican nominee, Rep. Peter King, a fellow Republican, might take the route of ancient armies when faced with defeat: poison.

"Well, first of all, in case anybody gets confused, I'm not endorsing Ted Cruz. I hate Ted Cruz," King said on MSNBC. And not to put too fine a point on this - King is a Republican.

"And I think I'll take cyanide if he got the nomination," King finished.

Cruz wins Maine, to the ire of Trump supporters

Ted Cruz is the winner of the Maine GOP primary, but in a controversial fashion that has drawn outraged remarks from front-runner Donald Trump’s campaign.

Cruz’ victory comes more than a month after the state’s March 5 caucus, and gives the senator a more lopsided (and controversial) slate of delegates in advance of the GOP’s national convention this summer. At the state party convention this weekend, all 14 at-large delegates elected support Cruz, which gives him 19 of the 23 delegates Maine is sending to the national convention in Cleveland.

That’s controversial because the Maine GOP decided to make binding the results of March’s presidential caucuses, which Cruz won by a margin that would give him 12 delegates, not 19. But at the convention this weekend, the party chose nearly all Cruz delegates, outraging Maine governor and Trump supporter Paul LePage, who accused the Cruz campaign of being “greedy hooligans.”

I thought they seemed a little too cozy, if you get my drift. I mean, with that weird secret handshake and the way that Carly sang to Heidi's kids.....maybe it was Heidi and Carly behind Ted's back (or a revenge lesbian affair for all those hookers....blame my dirty, smut writer's imagination). Or maybe it's a ménage a trois a la Stannis, Melisandre, and the wife. Or just a little Old Testament polygamy. Ted Cruz likes everything else Old Testament, and the Torah never specifically bans lesbian sex, just male homosexuality. Nice bit of Judeo-Christian lawyering and Ted could get all FLDS on the whole thing.

One thing is sure....they'll have plenty of time for bedroom games now that Ted and Carly are out of the running.
