I have a guy who is obviously trolling my cuckold stories and voting 1* more than once. I report It and Every once in a while the editors fix it.

Do any of you have the same problem. Do you know how the site managers handle this. Is this a common problem.

Anything you can tell me about the process would be helpful.

You might just read in on the forum. This comes up twice a week.

This does come up often. Supposedly there is a mechanism in place to delete fraudulent over voting. At Literotica they call it sweeps, every couple days the system is supposed to delete fraudulent votes.

More like a couple of times a month unless there is a contest going on.

You're writing cuckold stories; of course you're going to get trolled. For any given fetish there are people who think it's vile.

Trolling is common, stupid, and perennial as dandelions. But unless you stick to Erotic Couplings and a man and a woman in their early 30's, you'll annoy someone eventually. Welcome to Literotica.

Thanks this is what I was trying to find

I've seen this happen to my stories. I've requested it as it says to in the fraud section.

But I've wondered when it happened as its not consistent. Does the site have staff? Is it a programmatic thing or does someone have to launch it.

You picked the correct FAQ. Follow its instructions. I'm unsure if the site has a staff any bigger than two very passionate people. Maybe it does/maybe it doesn't. Either way, they're responsive.

I believe that the site sweeps 1 votes (very slowly).

LW is a problem the site doesn't want to touch. A bit of abandoning responsibilties.

I think the basic system has been refined enough to stop fraudulent voting, except from concerted group attacks.

Sweep

I think they work hard to clean it up. If they get a lot of votes from one ISP they can flag it programmatically.

But the bombers change ISPs so they have to be spotted by hand. A statistical sweep could point out abnormal voting patterns, but is probably beyond the skill level of the site management. I am sure they try their hardest.

Last time I posted a story in LW, the vote counter got as high as 153. Sweeps took it down to ninety-something. It's now at 89. Some LW readers get angry enough to go and bomb your other stories, but those votes get swept too.

There's little point in reporting odd voting in LW, since it's expected, and the site administrators keep a close watch on that category.

I'll keep an eye on the sweep, if it'll take care of 1 star trolls. By the fluctuations on my latest story, I've got 7x5* and 2x1* so far.

Just nosey, anyone know how many people work at/for the site?

As far as I can tell, Manu runs the computer side and Laurel handles the story side. They have a few programmers, how many are unknown, working on the new upgrade for the back end of the site, the Phone version, and some of the upgrades.

This is what I assume as well.
