Oil lamps:

They light they way
Illuminate the path
dance in the night as the daylight fades

He lights my way.

Making sure the lamps have oil and the wicks are trimmed
He reminds me that there is light when all I can see is darkness
And sets out another light so that my feet can find the path

He is my light.

Reminders for my man... who usually does not need to be told these things ~
1. Don’t let her go to sleep without hearing your voice.
2. Flowers are never a bad idea, even when you don’t have a reason for giving them
3. Reassure her you love her. She’ll always worry about you leaving, you’ll learn why.
4. She’ll talk about her past when she’s ready, don’t push it.
5. Telling her she’s beautiful never hurts.
6. Give in sometimes even when you shouldn’t. She’s fought her whole life it’s the last thing she wants to do.
7. She likes when you rub her back, feet too.
8. When she shaves her legs insist on feeling them.
9. She hates to repeat herself, so listen closely.
10. Tell her stories about when you first fell for her, and about your childhood...she loves to hear them
11. Let her know when your having a bad day, not only will she appreciate the warning, she’ll do all she can to make it better.
12. When you count your blessings, count her twice. You are so lucky to have her in your life."

I just love this...
and he would humor me.. the yarn. the colors. the assembly...
and I find myself smiling just looking at this image.

this is one of the ways he watches over me. by indulging me in small things.

Truth... and he will love you and watch over you in spite of you doing things or not doing these things.
I do the things I do in the context of our relationship because I am a grown up and they need doing and they make our lives together good.
He appreciates them because he sees that this is true.
The same is true in reverse.
