This is an update for anyone who wants to get to know me. I have some old threads but a summary will be better. It's based on the most common questions so uninterested parties can run away.

Have you ever played any of the Disgaea series of games? They are pretty fun rpgs with a quirky sense of humor. Number 1 recently came out with a Steam PC port.

Steam has a whole bunch of games out there. And with sales often, just wait a bit, and you'll be able to increase your library easily. Also take a look at humblebundle. They will change their special deals often and since you pay what you want, it can be very easy to get great steam games for extremely cheap.

I like playing games too. Mostly videogames but there are a couple of board games I'd like to learn how to play. I'm into simple games and a lot of board and card games have a lot of rules so that's kind of a barrier for me but there are some that look pretty fun.

I'm a bit older than you so maybe I can offer some perspective on this. Meeting people and seeing what happens is the healthiest and most realistic way to look at it. If you go into something looking for a long term thing or trying to "fall in love" or whatever you're going to lose perspective, even if it's just a little bit. You have to take things on a case-by-case basis because if you don't you're trying to force something and no matter how hard you push a square peg just does not fit into a round hole. Do you get what I'm saying? If something happens, it happens. If it's not right, it's not right. The only thing you're doing when you go in with specific goals is hurting yourselves and each other. Because in some sense you're trying to make the relationship into a version of something you want it to be and not what it actually is.

And finding humor in inappropriate places is totally fine. I'm like that too. In fact more people have those sensibilities than admit it. Quite a few more. There's a fair number of people who are misguided about that and I think a lot of people just don't want to offend others so they don't admit what they find funny. I think your sense of humor is sort of separate from the rest of your personality though. I can't help what I think is funny. It's an involuntary reaction. People who get offended by that I think have their hearts in the right place for the most part (though there are definitely exceptions) but still I think they're fighting the wrong battle.

Anyway, do you accept PMs? I'd like to get to know a few people here and you seem like someone I might like to talk to. Same thing I said before applies. If it turns out we get along, great. If not, not a big deal. Would you be interested in having a conversation?
