I don't know if it's legal or not, but some scientists sure treat GSA like a "disease". And that's one reason for the law to not support anything that has to do with it.

Different jurisdictions have varied definitions and laws regarding close-kin sex. I don't list them all in What Is Incest? but while motherfucking violates mores and laws in many places, such a couple can find a safe landing somewhere.

IMHO this particular couple are foolish for going public, or they're faking it for publicity. Both would be fruitful avenues to explore literotically. Twist: a couple THINKS they're faking, but it's real, ha ha.

I'm not really interested in "what the fuck is there in the law", but more concerned about the people who have decided to come out with it.

I think it's the only issue that Huffington post hasn't pointed out. That's the case with most incest stories anyway, but it definitely had me wondering about the "What if" scenarios.

What if a story chose to deal with the consequences? Not many authors choose to do that. Even if they do, it's superfluous. Almost laughable. There's only a single story that I connected with but unfortunately, that author has been AWOL for quite sometime.

My Unlikely Angels, which I started in 2010 and my Valentine's Day contest submission A Valentine's Day Mess both use GSA, but between siblings. That is how it commonly occurs.

The first time I heard of GSA was several years ago, from a story in Germany about a brother and sister who were raised separately and started a relationship without knowing they were related. They had children together and were fighting in court to keep the kids and their relationship.

There is some evidence for GSA, but I think that it is actually a legal argument more than it is a fact. The OP is the only mother/son instance I know of that was claimed to be GSA. There was a mother/son scandal in the US fairly recently with a similar setup, but in that case the boy was 14 and I never heard of GSA being invoked as a defense.

GSA has been a known thing for a long time. The thing that normally negates it is known as the Westermarck effect. You can find both on Wikipedia.
