I find that folks on both the political left and right deal with each other and complex social issues in terms of simplistic memes. If I happen to have or can find substantive information that counters superficial arguments or provides important details that the mainstream media fails to provide, I try to put it out there in hopes that the information may cause people to think despite their apparent best efforts not to.
