What I don't like about Socialism as an economic system is that it stifles initiative and ambition. If I am a worker bee in an office, I could incur expenses and spend time and effort on furthering my education and becoming an accountant or administrator. Under Socialism, why bother? I would end up making almost the same amount of money and the difference would not be worth all the trouble. This is something of a welfare attitude, which attitude is something Socialism encourages.

As for what is sometimes called "corporate welfare," I don't like that very much either, unless there is some genuine national benefit.

Believing in democratic socialism doesn't make you a member of the Socialist Party, Box. That's just you being idiotic again. There is a Socialist Party in the United States and it is running a slate for president/vice president. Sanders is neither a party member nor running on that slate. He's a member of the Democratic Party (since last year--an independent before that, with no party affiliation) and he's registered as running in the Democratic Party. Since even the article you site says he's a democratic socialist, it would be just as likely to go with the "democratic" element of that (which he has) as the "socialist" element.
