You really need to give some sort of idea what kind of story you want written. There's a w i d e variety of genres represented by the writers here. They don't all write everything.

My usual story-telling advice: Have you ever kept a blog or journal? Visualize the story in your head, play it like a movie, and blog it. Write what you see, hear, feel, think, as the story progresses. That's your basic structure, like a sculpture's armature. Now slap on more clay (words), shave some off, squish it around till it's right. Voila, you're an author!

I doubt any of us popped out of the womb spewing stories. It's something we learn, we practice, we develop. We all started about where you are. You too can reach lofty artistic heights. Practice, practice, practice.

You may gather that you are not asking the right people the right question.
Quite right.
Apart from anything else, the writers round here are generally those dedicated to improving their writing skills, discussing techniques and methods, etc.
But then:
How do you KNOW you are not good at writing ?
Take a school exercise book and practice.
Read a load of things; get to know how words are strung together to make sense.
Write down some sentences in the book
Keep going until you have a whole story.

If someone doesn't want to write, that's fine (God knows we have way too many people trying to write who don't have a talent for it). And if someone would like someone else to write a story for them, that's fine too--as is if writers just want to write their own ideas. Presumably the OP knows the OP doesn't want to write the story.
