I have friends that were there last night. The protesters were peacefully assembling in an area that the Chicago PD had set up for them. There was no chaos or danger.

But, based upon what we see on the college campus, who knows how long that would have lasted had the event gone on...

Just because they arrived peacefully, does not mean they would have stayed peaceful, because as badly as Trump whips up his crowds, the left is just as capable of whipping their devoted following into a lather, only they use social justice rhetoric to justify their anger as a righteous, almost religious, cause to shut down racism, misogyny, xenophobia, greed...,

On Tuesday, I get my chance in the primary.

There's only one Libertarian candidate for President, so asking for a Libertarian ballot gets me not much say in the election. I'm not going to ask for a Democrat ballot because Hillary is a war-monger and Bernie is a Socialist. But I can get a Republican ballot and vote for Cruz to add to the numbers of those appalled by the thought of possibly having to choose between the narcissistic Trump and the unethical Clinton.

There were people who brought weapons to some of the original Tea Party protests and anti-Obamacare rallies, including events where Obama himself was present. Of course, they were just "defending our freedoms," which I guess only applies when you're opposed to Democrats.


I can only guess what the reaction would have been here had Obama even once referred to his opposition using language akin to the things Trump has said from the podium, let alone if anti-Obama protesters were routinely physically attacked while the President cheered them on and promised to pay their legal bills.
