...after lecturing college students for months about the real world not having any. ;)

I hope the protestors' ego boosts were worth it; they just handed Trump the election. What a big mistake last night was. BIG mistake.

I agree that it's exactly what Trump and his supporters wanted. Bad move by the protesters.

But Trump isn't going to be President.

Trump maybe but I doubt his supporters wanted that at all.

Bad move by whoever is egging on the protestors. Those weren't sporadic. (And the media was complicit.)

As for who will be elected, will shall see soon enough.

They want whatever makes Liberals look like savages, so that they can justify their rhetoric. If a protester got violent in any way, I think they'd be thrilled.

Most don't want anything of the sort. They want to use their one vote in the same way I want to use mine, without being berating for having a personal opinon. People did not go to those rallies hoping to be attacked. You attitude is why Trump is going to win. People on the fence aren't going to see those protestors, those Mexican flags, the pushing and shoving, the screeches to shut down a speech and think, "You know, they have a point. Trump should be silenced by the mob. I'm voting for Hilary. Or Ted Cruz or what have you" Trump voters aren' going to change their minds either. If anything, fence sitters will be pushed over based on principle.

You got it. Trump was the news yesterday and today.

I'm never concerned about being berated for my personal opinion. Ever.

I might get irritated - human nature - but I use my brain to process the reasons why someone might have a visceral response to something I've said or written. Then, after I've (hopefully) assessed their character correctly, I respond in kind. Maybe they only deserve my scorn...or, maybe they have a point, and I can learn something. Or, maybe they're open to learning something from me.

People not being able to do this is one of the reasons Trump is popular.

We aren't talking about you, we are talking about the protestors and Trump voters in Chicago. Trump supporters did not show up hoping to be attacked. That is nonsense.

I'm no longer sure of that. People I know who otherwise disliked him months ago have said they are "coming around"

These are conservative establishment types too.

This guy has momentum and press coverage unseen before.

He is going to crucify Hillary and this is going to gonna be larger than life and twice as ugly.

People are going to their corners now and we will be lucky if no one gets killed.

I also agree that last night was a big mistake and got Trump even more support. I also think it was a setup.

Trump in downtown Chicago at a liberal university?

On Saturday night?

Really?

I'm talking about the voters, too. This is their issue: they're all about hurt feelings and having their views challenged in an aggressive manner. They erroneously see both as certain death of their individuality, so they don't ingest new information which might otherwise influence their thoughts and actions. All they do is react.

That is the cancer eating away at the American voter. Anything which happens as a result - protest, violence, elected officials - are just symptoms.

"safe space" in Chicago yesterday"

We've been to Chicago. There is no "safe space" there.

That's probably the dumbest thing anyone's posted so far today. You must get scared pretty easily.

I absolutely believe a portion of Trump's supporters would goad protesters into being violent if it would benefit Trump's campaign.

Not really. I'm just getting fed up with this erotica forum being over run with political bullshit and needed to fill up a little space.

Calling each other names and degrading members has nothing to do with which crook wins.

It's been like this for over 10 years. It's not changing anytime soon.

Shutting down Trump rallies, or even trying to do so, is stupid. Totally counterproductive. It should be illegal, if it isn't already.
