It is actually worrying the level of racism and hate he seems to have attracted in his followers. I honestly think the comparisons with the 1930's in Germany aren't too far fetched.

While not exact, the parallels are frightening:

  • Donald Trump and his Sturmtrumpers are the equivalent of Ernst Roehm and his Brownshirts, bellicose low intelligence thugs who want to beat up those who disagree with them.
  • Miles Ben Zonah's favorite, Ted Cruz, is the equivalent of Heinrich Himmler, a man most concerned with stocking the government with as many racially pure and ideologically pure "True Believers" as possible.
  • Marco Rubio is Hitler. The establishment favorite (the Junkers thought they could "control" Hitler, the Koch brothers think they can control Rubio) who promises foreign interventionism, but nobody listened to him prior to the election.

I have friends that were there last night. The protesters were peacefully assembling in an area that the Chicago PD had set up for them. There was no chaos or danger.
