CHICAGO — Donald Trump hastily postponed his Friday night rally in Chicago because of “growing safety concerns” created by thousands of protesters inside and outside of an arena at the University of Illinois. The decision immediately sparked nasty verbal and physical fights between protesters and Trump supporters who had been eager to see him that night.

The Republican front-runner’s rallies have become increasingly violent in the past two weeks, and Trump’s remarks are often interrupted by protesters denouncing his controversial stances, especially those on immigration and the treatment of Muslims. If you had bothered to watch any of the footage of interactions between Trump supporters and protesters you would know that it's not the protesters who are spoiling for a fight and The Donald has encouraged this behavior in his belligerent slack-jawed supporters. He laments the fact that they, the protesters can't be treated more harshly, like the "good old days", incites the crowd to "get them out of here, these are not good people", offers to pay legal fees of his supporters, etc.

Your assertion that Clintons detractors are more civilized and rational is completely divorced from reality. It's not Trump's detractors getting violent, but his supporters.

An estimated 25,000 supporters were expected to be at Trump's rally, Hillary hasn't drawn 25k to all of her rally's combined. And you are correct, it wasn't her detractors throwing the first punches last night...her supporters however, that's another story.

Chief of Police : "At no time did we instruct, or suggest that the event be postponed or cancelled"

Both quotes can be accurate but only one was intended to mislead.
