What is this forgiveness concept you speak off??

Keeping is short for my girls.

I can hold a grudge like no bodys business, cut you out of my life for.ev.er but it takes some really bad stuff to get me to that point.
 
There are a lot of metaphysical hairs to split on this one. Perhaps we should start by shaving PMann from head to toe in a loving, forgiving, plebeian way?

I'm going to split a hair right here - human actions, done with intent to cause harm, can be forgiven. All other interactions, incidents and accidents, are just the way the mechanical world works. The tiger in the woods does not need forgiveness. She just eats you because she's a tiger. She doesn't hate you, she just thinks you look kind of plump and tasty.

I believe in forgiving and forgetting. It's liberating. As for the forgiving and forgetting part, for me, it stems from this hard learned lesson.

The past is over. It's done. Finished. There is not a single thing you can do to change one single iota of your past - not one event, not one incident, not anything. This day, this moment, it's all you've got. If the events of your past are impacting your present experience and causing pain and suffering you may find peace by simply letting them go - forgive and forget. The bird that clings to the tree of suffering cannot fly.
