How's the show? As a fan of the source material, the promotional spots for this series were insulting.

You're not the only one. It's pathetic, the devil as a wise cracking Sherlock Holmes who of course begins to 'do the right thing'

All the T&A they can dump into that thing won't make me watch it.

The buzz doesn't look too favorable, but I'll give it an ep or 3 before I decide. I mean decide if it's a watchable show, I'm already mostly sure it will have little at all to do with the story it's based on. It's sad that Fox bought up this wonderful property and made what appears to be some Murder She Wrote shit out of it. Fine, I suppose, but why wipe their asses with this story and these characters just to go retread The Mentalist, Castle, or The Pretender for the 1000th time...

Let's put it this way, the way the show Supernatural portrays Lucifer, would make this one look dignified. Things like "I was about to have an epic foursome' are standard lines.

Maybe I'm biased but showing the devil as a happy go lucky over grown frat boy clown isn't appealing to me.

The brief appearance of the Devil in the movie Constantine was one of the best I've seen in a long time.
