I had to buy a new iron yesterday, and when I unpacked it I found a sticker on the top saying 'Warning! Please to not be ironing the clothing while on the body!'
Apart from the fact that it was translated badly, it struck me that someone, sometime must have actually tried to iron their clothes while wearing them..... how idiotic
Are we so dumb now that we have to be warned about even the most obvious things?

What stupid warnings have you seen?

Shut it, yous ugly ishell. This be a Porn Board an yous like reverse viagara brah.

Just thinking back, I remember the McDonald's law suit that got the "victim" millions. They didn't have on the cup of coffee that spilled on her lap a warning that the coffee was hot.

When you grow large enough balls to show us your true image, then you can say whatever you like about someone else's appearance.
Until then, run away and play with the rest of the kiddies, okay?!

the victim also received third degree burns from the coffee. it really was not a frivolous lawsuit.

I remember thinking that was stupid.... until my son started working as a barista.
Turns out, there is a setting on the machine you're not supposed to go above for coffee!
No way could a spilt coffee made at the correct temperature cause 3rd degree burns.
So maybe she was in the right - although the payout seemed rather excessive.

I believe the McDs in question had been previously warned that their coffee was unsafe in temp. That is why she won her case.

If someone hadn't done it, there wouldn't be a warning label. They aren't there for 99% of the population.
The McD's coffee thing was legit. That woman was burned very badly and deserved every penny she got.

I saw a warning on a package of fishing hooks that said "harmful is swallowed."

My favorites have always been the cans of nuts that say "may contain nuts" and the lawnmowers that say not to put your hand under the deck while it's running.

Ahhhh those are good! Also the chain saw that says Warning: hold by the handle when in use.

I just checked to be sure. Under "Warnings" on my deodorant the first item says:

For external use only

She was willing to settle with McDs for just her medical bills being paid but McDs got stubborn and bought in their lawyers to scare her off. BIG mistake!

Yes, they say when you buy me you will forever endure the whining and crying of of anti gun assholes.

Or insistence that having a gun makes one safer despite the daily reports of people shooting themselves or kids shooting their siblings.
