Stripper at the baby shower

I have been working on a story about a stripper who shows up at a baby shower instead of the bachelorette party he was hired for.

After the mom-to-be gets her "special" dance, both learn about the error.

Of course my story as morphed into something completely different so I thought I'd post the idea here because I do think it is a fun one. There are many ways it could go. I will try to revisit it at some point, but if anyone else wants to take it up, I always like seeing various takes on the same topic.

Also, if anyone wants to share other ideas, maybe it will motivate me to give it another try now.

A real-life setting (identities concealed for protection): Realtor and mother-to-be Donna's hubby David is a former high-profile chef. Deteriorating eyesight led him to switch careers to commercial cannabis cultivation near their Berkeley, California home. (In earlier years they staged illegal raves around the SF Bay Area.) Their friends run a gamut from software tycoons to gun-runners to performance artists.

The co-ed baby shower is catered by two of Dave's former employees who both now have Food Channel shows. (Dave is busy at the growhouse and isn't there to cook.) Entertainment includes aforementioned performance artists. Some attendees are caught skinny-dipping in the backyard pool. Some spliffs are puffed, y'know?

That's the reality. Let's toss in the bunny. The male stripper arrives and does a lively show for Donna and friends. She figures it's just the sort of gag David would pull on her. Stripper may be sucked by all attendees so inclined -- including Donna. Will David be amused?

David is a hard-headed northwoods redneck barely semi-civilized by his impressive culinary training. He is also quite habituated to his product and maintains alpha-male control even after puffing a few five-gram buds. California law precludes growers from keeping firearms -- a wise precaution -- so nobody will get shot. But how will the tensions manifest? Yes, David *could* see the joke and laugh it off like a lumberjack. Let's hope so.

I'm just imagining the mom-to-be getting a lapdance on a nonexistent lap. "Lemme just rub my assless chaps on that baby bump, oh yeah."

That's hysterical, but in a good way. I'm also imagining the mom's mom to be all for keeping the stripper.

I was thinking that the shower was thrown by the mom to be's friends and didn't include the mother or mother in law. I really like the idea. The mothers encourage the mom to be to let her hair down and just have fun with everyone else. Of course the mom to be ends up with more than just her hair down.
