Maybe I don't have this on the correct board, but I just wanted to share this with all of you and get your opinion.

Why doesn't common sense dictate that an "anti-sodomy" law is out-dated, and that "animal cruelty" is something totally different. Do NOT ask my opinion of those who have sex with animals...

I just want to know...will someone bail me out?

If Supreme Court says it is unconstitutional than how can you be charged and/or found guilty. It would be illegal for the police to lay an unconstitutional charge.

Is porn heavily censored in Michigan? Or is it, if it didn't happen in Michigan it's okay?

I haven't heard of anyone getting arrested as long as I've lived in the state.

Then again, it also had a dormant law against foul language in front of women and children that was used years ago out of the blue!

I'm just astounded that with all the shit going on in MI this is what their legislators are spending their time on.

LOL...you deserve what you get Michigan.

Our GB Islam lovers will have a field day with this.
Christianity is bad! Islam is da man!

It is beyond ridiculous that they are not focused on much more significant issues, that they'd rather legislate morality.

Yeah have they fixed Flint's water system yet? Have they sought to hold the fools, who changed the water supply despite the risks they knew were involved, accountable yet?

I'll bet there are a few pot holes to fix too.

Let's dispel with the fiction that Barack Obama doesn't know what he's doing.

He knows exactly what he's doing.

Fun game. Spot those who didn't read the article.

Two sure matches so far.

Good idea. Both forms of sodomy lead to increased health risks. Obviously, anal sodomy is a dirty stupid idea that leads to multiple health risks. What many don't realize is the increased risk of oral, throat, and other cancers from oral-genital contact.

Its a great idea to put these laws back on the books, not actively enforce them or even make them non-enforceable by provision, but have them there for their instructive purpose regarding the potential health effects of the behaviors.

Many young people have no clue about the increased risk of oral and throat cancers from oral-genital copulation. A law can be used to teach this to children and teens. The current liberal "there's nothing wrong with it, just do it safely approach" doesn't work.

Make it nominal fine of say a dollar and a citation like a parking ticket.

Actually, based on Lawrence v. Texas in 2003 the Supreme Court already tossed a law like this out and decriminalized sodomy laws.

I don't know how they managed to pass a law that the Supreme Court overthrew. But then again I don't live in a state run by a bunch of teadhadist GOPers that are purposely poisoning their own people.

Another reason to vote Democrat.

In fact, you make it a civil infraction with a symbolic fine of a dollar, it would most likely be safe from being overturned by the courts as the fine is so minor they would not agree to hear the case.

They schools would not be forced to tell kids these activities are "perfectly ok" like they are now with the law-neutral approach.

Are you also in favor of an absolute ban on tobacco use? The huge majority of oral cancer is linked to tobacco.

And no one has ever been bothered by secondhand smoke from a blowjob.

1.It's called 'ass cancer'. Every GBer knows that..

2.And how do you plan to find the perpetrators? Put surveillance cameras in their bedrooms?

3.They schools would not be forced to tell kids these activities are "perfectly ok" like they are now with the law-neutral approach.
3.They teach 'How to' oral and anal sex in american middle schools?

You could tell me that oral sex has a 50/50 chance of making my head explode and I'd still do it.
I love me some oral and whatever anyone anywhere says or does, I won't stop doing it.

I agree.
Just call us rebels.
And post our bail!

For the record, I will post bail for any female Litster who is actually arrested for this. Sorry men, you're on your own.

Tobacco companies are owned by REAL Americans, Republicans!!! And as such their freedom to sell their products should not be restricted in ANY way because to do so is evil Communism!!!

LOL

They were both illegal in CA until about fifty years ago.

Another bit of moronic tyrannical 'conservative' bullshit gone...thank you liberals!

1. No being fined is still criminal act and would, therefore, fall under the ruling of Lawrence v. Texas.

2. No that's just wrong. If teahadists like you are all about keeping government out of shit then the first place it should be out of are people's sex lives.

2a. You mean "The schools".

"The state has no business in the bedrooms of the nation."
