Out sourcing.

So I got this brilliant idea and am starting a new biz. A family affair, the oldest is doing the user interface (I don't do users, users suck), I'm doing the operational software and mechanical design, and Vat is handling sales, marketing, and finance.

Anyway, a week ago I ordered the electronic shit I needed to do two prototypes and wouldn't you know it, I ordered from a Canadian concern. $69 Can, $48 US.

Shit, not even in business yet and I'm already out sourcing.

Except for the mechanical parts I'll probably end up in China eventually. And even the mechanical is up for grabs.

Considering that the market is almost entirely US it seem a shame that I would be out sourcing, even for the prototypes.

And here you are. You don't know what the product is, or the market. Yet rather than query, you immediately attack. Why is that? Is that based on your own inadequacies, or just a bitterness over your own lack of a life? Or the fact that at my age I still have more irons in the fire?

The years of cheaper, faster, more profit for the higher ups have pretty much eliminated manufacturing, especially of componentry, and electronics, in the US. Its just how it is.
