My Italian beef will win the day.
I'm not picking the winner, the score, or anything else, but every time the team that led the NFL in total defense has made it to the Super Bowl they have won the game, except for last year, and they should have won that one. Denver led the league this year. Gives me a little hope.

NFL.com FWIW had a bunch of people posting their twitter predictions. The only one picking Denver was Maurice Jones Drew who had Denver at 42-28, not sure what he's smoking, has he seen Denver's offense this year?
I'm going Carolina 38-21 and Denver's last score is in garbage time.
Carolina's defense isn't number one, but damn good. They are good on both sides of the ball Denver is only good on D and that may not be enough. Panther's O-line is one of the best in the league and they have the best dual threat QB in the league.
And all the Denver fans seem to forget they were minutes away from losing to Pitt team that was devastated by injuries.
The Panther playing with the broken arm however, is going to be an issue. Its great he's a gamer who is getting on the field, but one armed tackles aren't going to work in the running game.
I have no real vested interest here, therefore default to rooting for the team that's never owon. I'm tired of the "Peyton deserves it crowd" he has a ring and played in two other super bowls. He' made hundreds of millions of dollars playing ball and endorsements and has 5(?) MVP's...anyone who can say this guy is owed something from the game is a fool.

Panthers are killing themselves. Penalties, that wtf play on the big punt return. Lucky to be down by only one score.
Other side, as always Denver's D is getting it done, their only TD a strip sack for a touchdown.
Manning.....settled for FG on the first drive, settled for a FG when they were handed the ball inside Carolina 20, then threw that a pick he was lucky went to a huge defensive linemen rather than a DB that might have gone a long way with it.
If the Panthers can get a lead this game's theirs.
