The sneaking off to Vegas in disguise was hilarious, but I can't see how any team thinks this kid is going to be anything other than a spoiled frat boy who was handed millions and endorsements before he threw a pass.

In a way I don't blame him. This starts in HS and gets worse in college for these kids. If they have talent they get away with anything and it doesn't get any better when they become wealthy.

His father was talking about Manziel's drinking problem while he was still in college.

The NFL is becoming a thug league more and more each year as older players retire and more kids like this come in. Hernandez had a gun incident while in college and continued to play and went into the NFL and we all know what happened.

Look at this kid in Mo or MS(I forget which) he has been suspended for the third time for drugs. Three? Kid should have been off he team after one, and out of school on the second.

But as long as there is millions to be made with TV contracts and the NFL attention and as long as there are scum coaches like Urban Meyer who would take a convicted killer on his team if he could get away with it, this will only get worse.

I'm not as convinced as Rory that he's going to wind up with the Cowboys. Dallas doesn't mind characters, but even they would prefer that their backup quarterback not go out of his way to make headlines.

I'm convinced now that he's going to have to hit bottom before making meaningful changes in his life, but his wealth and fame have insulated him so far and can continue to do so for years. It might take some time behind bars to straighten him out.

headline on NFL.com "Manziel allegedly assaulted Girlfriend several times." next to it "No charges filed" of course not.

This is where the NFL shows its personal conduct rule was created only because of the fall out over the Ray rice video(the one Goodel saw and lied that he saw)

Manziel has been nothing but trouble in his two years in the NFL and had been in trouble in college. No team should be allowed to sign him. It should be at the point where when its this obvious its going to only escalate there should be a one way ticket out the door, period.

The NFL leaves it up to individual owners if they will take these thugs and pariahs. Teams like The Panthers immediately tossed Hardy (and they're in the superbowl) Dallas greedily took him(last place in a terrible division) its time the NFL set it up where they decree who is done and who is not.

Jerry Jones is cutting hardy not because of what he did, but he under performed, pure and simple. Ray Rice was never given a second chance not because of what he did, but people realized he'd had a down year before the incident then missed all of last year. A has been RB is not worth the publicity hit.

The greed is destroying this league and it will show up again because someone will take Manziel figuring maybe he'll put asses in seats.

Of course the fault also lies with the Fantasy football addicts who are now driving this game more the game is. If people don't stop spending money on football they will keep becoming a who's who of criminals every Sunday.

The Dallas police are now investigating the assault claims. So let's say he faces charges what does the commissioner do? Should be four games right? Every time he tries for more, he loses out.

But in the case of Ray Rice and Hardy as far as I know neither had a reported incident prior(reported as in you know this is a lifestyle;e for these animals) same for Peterson.

But for Manziel he now has a two year history of nothing but trouble on and off field. He should be able to get a bigger suspension and honestly at some point someone needs to be made a serious example, as in see you later period and there is no indication he is every going to change because no matter what he does right now he knows he has a career waiting for him,

IF he lost football his choices are straighten out or go to jail like any other normal person with his issues would face.

But again it will come down to teams, who cares about public perception and not wanting a pariah on the team and who wants the player so badly they don't care what people-or their own team-thinks.

As long as Jerry Jones and his kind exist so will manziel.

Again we'll see how serious the 'personal conduct' rule is taken.
