It seems it will be Trump vs. Sanders. On the eve of Iowa and New Hampshire anything other than this result would be shocking. The media continues to try to craft a palatable narrative, but finds itself unable to do so. Americans are done with politics as usual, on to the next chapter of American history. Trump, the PC basher vs Bernie the wily senior citizen writing checks we can't cash. Change for the sake of change? Time will tell.

It's too early to call anything like that. Just so much hot air and wasted wheels' spinning.

Trump writes checks that will bounce. How can he fund his wall with Mexico and his war with ISIS by cutting taxes?

Sanders proposes massive tax increases for the affluent.

You and a few others here are going waaaaaay out on a limb predicting Clinton's demise/Sanders's inevitability. You all might claim to disdain the media, but you're paying too much attention to them. If Clinton wins Iowa, and that seems about 50-50 right now, the race is over barring an unforeseen bombshell.

Also, if you think the media have been trying to stop Trump, that's about as far away from the truth as it's possible to get. Treating him like a celebrity rather than as someone serious has been the main thing that's allowed the simpleton to get traction.

Exactly. The media, and the liberal left is too smart for its own good. The beauty is watching them "hoisted by their own petard".

The fun thing about a possible Trump vs. Sanders election is that it would be the two most liberal candidates competing. Trump is just playing with the electorate at the moment, finding that the Hitler approach has legs. He'll revert to his liberal roots (and probably kick himself for being too successful) in the unlikely event he wins. He might even say "just kidding" and decline to take the post as pulling too much time from his entertainment schedule--and leaving his supporters to deserve not having thought this through.

You seem a little upset. Maybe it's from caring too much too early with too little brain power. :D

I'm really too tired of phonies. You lead the pack. I live my life surrounded by real people. So I pick out phonies from a mile away. You are.one.....so go join Teddy Cruz and Hillary.

Clinton Seen as Winner in November; A Trump Presidency Inspires Anxiety (POLL)

The jig is up

Jan 28, 2016

Among those with college degrees, Clinton and Sanders clearly outpace the GOP competition...

While Trump leads the top GOP candidates in expectations, he inspires significant concerns among Americans as they contemplate him as president. Seven in 10 say they’re “anxious” about the idea as Trump as president, including 51 percent who feel that way strongly. In contrast, a bare majority says a Clinton presidency would make them anxious.

Of the candidates tested, only Sanders comes out ahead in terms of comfort vs. anxiety: Fifty percent of Americans are comfortable with the idea of a Sanders presidency vs. 43 percent who are anxious about it. Americans are more nervous than calm about Cruz (-8 points), and slightly more concerned about Rubio and Clinton (both -5).

Fortunetelling is illegal in many jurisdictions. Why can't political prognostication be charged as psychic fraud? Even necromancy, such as invocations of Reagan or Carter (or Lincoln or Madison).

Yes, right now, before ANY caucuses or primaries, before ANY actual balloting, political predictions are at best mental masturbation and at worst desperate fantasies. That's because the future is plastic. EVENTS will occur, EVENTS that obviate all the current bullshit. Gosh, but what EVENTS could happen before the general election?

* Hillary could be indicted, in which case Bloomburg mounts an independent run against Bernie and Tromp.
* The Iowa caucus could go nutz and select Dr Carson, leaving Crump (Cruz+Trump) down in single-digits.
* Assassination(s) may be attempted and may succeed. Really nasty war could break out. Shit happens.
* Obama may do something really great or really terrible, *ensuring* victory or defeat -- for somebody.
* Larry Flynt may release disgusting sex tapes of all the candidates. Some are helped, eternally grateful.

Basically, some totally unexpected shit may come along and change everything. And none of the prophets will see it coming. Feh.

EDIT: I have a thang with prophets. I feel like asking every self-proclaimed psychic and prophet to show that they predicted 9-11. Those that did not are proved to be frauds at best, or enemies of the US, traitors at worst.

I had the privilege of informing an evangelical faith-healing nut of a boss in 1974 that faith-healer Katherine Kuhlman had just died despite all of her predictions for herself. :D

So you are an old saggy balled fuck

Land that I love
Stand beside and guide her
Through the night with the light from above.
From the mountains
To the prairies
To the oceans
White with foam
God Bless America
My home sweet home
God Bless America
My home sweet home

Where's the line about being hoisted on a petard? :D

That's for our lying media to live with. They will have to think about that one for a while. I will create a song for them when it's over. It will include the lyrics "hoisted by their own petard"..... Maybe a nice rap song.

Now that it looks like it will be Rubio, we await to see if it will be an angry old feminazi or a stupid old Communist running against him.

I suppose it really doesn't matter anyway. Its too late to stop America for becoming a third world crap hole anyway.

I just hope Sanders doesn't take all my savings and investments. That would suck.

Ah, but that's the kicker. There isn't a chance in hell he could get his programs through Congress. The Bernie supports don't seem to be focused on that.
